I have been to the machine room and went to all the pedestals, checked them twice to make sure I had done them all correctly and had been to the outside to the weights. I had done the weights correctly, but went out before clicking on circular emblem. So I did the pedestals, nothing happened, ah, the weights, so went back to the weights and now I have power. Went to the gate behind statue, pulled on the lever, but the gate did not rise. What have I missed?

If I remember correctly, that gate will not open if you have not done everything. Ask for hints and see what it says.

your MUST do weights coreectly. They belong to the sewer system and since the power system is based on water, not having sewage system in place, it's not going to work. There are two walkthrours which are very useful. I stronly suggest you get both. Check here on gameboomers walkthrough. Both have strong poihnts and whqt one doesn't have the other does. Good luck and isn't the music fabulous? Wait until you get to the oracle puzzle, you won't want to stop!

I'm sorry I haven't responded. I still haven't gone back to the game because we went on vacation (Branson), got back Friday night and just now am getting to the game. Will let you know if I can get things working correctly.

You can ask for hints with the ? button in the left hand corner.
If the hints don't do it for ya, keep asking for hints and the puzzle will be solve itself for you.

I had used the hints button before, so went back and when I clicked on it it showed me the very lower portion. I checked the walkthrough and I had put it on the correct position. I decided to check UHS hints, and their positions were different on about 3 of the pedestals. So even though everything was running and I think one of them said the power was on, the gate wouldn't open. So when I used the positions from UHS, they again said the power was on, but also there was more to their conversation - went back and the gate opened. So I'm on my way again. That hint button is very useful - nice to have it there. Thanks for all the suggestions.

I think I found the crates before and I have had a discussion with Mustavio and he gives me the two figurines after I told him where the wine casks are. I didn't get a chance to tell him I had found the crates (probably should have clicked on him again to start the conversation). So I went back to where I thought the crates were - she didn't say anything about them and I can't see where his name is on the crate (should be in or near the wavy floor - right?). So thought if I had found them the first time and she said, "here are Mustavio's crates", she wouldn't say it again. Well, I went back to tell him about the crates and he wasn't there. Apparently I have to tell him about the crates to get two more figurines. Any suggestions?

If I remember correctly, you only need one set of figurines to play the minotaur puzzle/game. If you have those, you should be fine. Have you used the built in hint system to see what it is telling you to do next?

I'm getting towards the end of the game, but I really have to rely on a walkthrough. I have in my lap 2 walkthroughs for the telescope puzzle. They both give the same coorindates, but no matter how many times I click on them, they never line up. Also they both talk about moving the golden ball when I have entered the correct four numbers on a row - to that position. It, as far as I can tell, only moves to the outside rim. One walkthrough says to enter the corrdinates, say, 62, 33,46, and 25. Then look through the telescope, then click or highlight the thorn coordinate 33 only. Well, when I click on the telescope there are numbers in a circle, but all I have is an "x" with my mouse. There is nothing to click or highlight when looking through the telescope the second time. And, of course, if I click the 33 again (where all the numbers in the 4 circles, are - oops, bad english), then the circles go again and nothing has happened. In looking at the one walkthrough it has a picture of the numbers to the left with the 2nd group of numbers highlighted, then the numbers going across and up and down with those same numbers on top with the ball on top. Mine have not ended up as listed. Yes, I know they don't have to be exact, just those same numbers. I went to the hints, and I have clicked on he stand where it has the different constellations. I also clicked on the ball in the room where the human statutes are - next to the blue disk. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, but can't figure it out. You'd think with 2 walkthroughs I'd be able to get it - but - Help please.

Butterfly,

That is the puzzle, the lining of the numbers. You can turn the circles to move the numbers to be in a row of in a column. They do not need to be in order - as long as they are in a line.

Once you have them in a line either vertical or horizontal - you move the yellow ball on the outer circle to one side of it. This mean that you are pointing to those numbers.

Then you look at the telescope after you ahve place the correct numbers/coordinates and see the constellation you need. Then you use the cursor to click on the correct star-number as stated by the clue-tapestry.

Well, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I did the first one on one of the walkthroughs 62,33,46,25. They did not come out in the same line. I might have had 3 of the numbers, but one of the other ones was in a different place. That's probably why when I look in the telescope, there is nothing there except a circle of numbers and blank in the middle. Just thought of something. Say I click 62 and it is at the top, then I click 33 - if it is not in line with 62, do I click that number again, until it is in line with 62? Think I'll try that, while I wait for a reply from MaG or someone else.

You need to have all the required numbers in a line (horizontal or vertical) or else the puzzle will not be solved. They do not need to be in the order shown - just to be all together.

I thought this would go on to my previous post - but I did go back and that's what I had to do continue to click on the numbers until they do line up. I know they were moving in different directions, but it still got frustrating, just when you think you have one number left, then one of the other ones shifts. Finally finished it though. Was hoping to finish tonight, but since it is 11:30, think I'll wait until tomorrow.

Towards the end of the game, Lydia and Zak are to talk with the ghost. They need the password for access to the ghost library. In talking with the ghost he does not give the password, no matter how many times you click on him, the last thing he says is that "he has faith in you young Nightingale." I decided to go down to the library anyway and clicked on the "books." Lydia and Zak talk about it and then wonder if the Ghost Nightingale would know anything about it(or something like that). In going back a second time to the ghost, the conversation does start out the same (changing Zak back to a human), but eventually they get to the password - then you can go back to the library and do what needs to be done, and also unlock the floating ball.
