Looks like I'm sinking along with the island!

I'm trying to open the safe in the lawyer's room. I have the blowtorch and the gloves. But every time I try to use the blowtorch on the safe (the only way I can figure out how to open it), Norm says that he can't use the blowtorch without protection. Which makes sense, except I can't figure out how to use the gloves AND the blowtorch at the same time. AARRGGH. mad

Let's wait for a gamer to help us here.

I better start playing the game too lol

There's a walkthrough here by Bert Jamin. See if that helps.

Hi paris,

I'm looking at the walkthrough, which says: It's good you found that blowtorch earlier!!! So... just use the blowtorch on the safe to open it.

It doesn't mention using the gloves, or needing other protection. Is there a specific area of the safe that you need to be aiming at? I haven't played the game, so I can only guess. headscratch

We might need to wait for someone who's familiar with this part.

I've tried using the blowtorch on every hotspot I can find, to no avail. Hopefully, someone can figure this out and enlighten me. In the meantime, I'll install Dracula 3 and see what that's like!

Hi paris
Played this sometime ago. I think you need to use W. Jones's key to open the safe. wave

Hmm. Okay. I need to find the key, then.

There's more than one safe, though, and the one prior to the W. Jones safe is definitely opened with the blowtorch. woozy

I am not on the safe yet but got the tools at the workshop.
Do you have the protective goggles?
You might need it to use the blow torch. It is at right middle hole slot on the wall above the bench.

Aha! I don't have the goggles. I assume I'll find them in the workshop?

Yes!! I found the goggles (after much pixel-hunting) and opened the safe. Thanks so much!
