I am really finding this game to be a bore! I'm into Day Three and just cannot get interested in what is happening. I am sick to death of the conversations and the people I meet.
Does anything ever HAPPEN? Or, do I just go on and on and on and on and on talking to people?

The first part of the game is looking for suspects and interviewing them. That is why you talk at first.
You also search for evidences and analyze them. It's a murder investigation and some psychological twist.

I really liked this game. I did find all the conversation a bit too much at times, but the story was really interesting and once you got going, it really grabbed you.
Isn't it funny how people's likes and dislikes are so different. Wouldn't it be so boring if we all thought alike grin

Hi Syndalee, I loved this game a lot but it tries to do things a little differently that might not appeal to everyone. But 'different strokes for different folks' - for me it does have a wonderful engaging story - but if you have got to day 3 & can't get interested maybe the game is not for you. "Does anything ever happen" - well for me & many other players it does but if it hasn't captured you so far I can't see it getting any better from your point of view to be quite honest. smile

Well, I'm still at it. Just getting ready to start Day 6. I'll keep going. I do like a game with more puzzles and such. But, there is something to be said for variety. Maybe more puzzles will start showing up later in the game.
It's time for all the kids to commence with the scaring. I'll go man the candy bowl and try not to eat it all. Thanks, all, for your thoughts!

Enjoyed the game and found the conversations quite amusing. The only thing I didn't like about the game was the extremely ugly clothes and hairstyles. shame Hope they are different in Culpa 2. Maybe they should look at Zoe and Kate Walker for better ideas.

You are on the spot with that comment. I also found this game to be REALLY "flat". sleep Yes one meets a lot of people and talk, talk, talk but it never gets "under the skin". Never gets interesting enough to make me wanna know whats going on.

Anyway, good luck in your quest cool

If one ONLY play this game for the crime solving, then I understand the frustrations.
BUT this game tried to do a lot more and I take my hat off for the developers, who tried to show us a world, that might be some day.
Sure there's a lot of dialog, but once I found out, that learning about this world and the people in it was a major part of the game, then it actually got quite interesting.
Not every adventure game needs to be packed with puzzles and mysteries - at least not in my book smile

The company had never done an adventure game before, and I thought they did a pretty good job for their first attempt.
AND they had a superb support - went on forum boards and answered all questions and made a patch within the first week to help with a bug.

I thought Culpa was a superb game, the story gripped me right from the beginning. I enjoyed all the dialogues, and loved the eerie music whenever Phoenix asked the "right" question. grin I found myself completely immersed in Phoenix's world, and was sad to leave it.

I,too, found it difficult and rather boring during the first few days, however, it is well worth sticking with it because I also found myself totally immersed in Phoenix's world.
If this is the future of our world it is frightning.

I really enjoyed the Culpa world and was sorry to see it end. Am very much looking forward to seeing what they do with the story line in the next one.

This is a game I have thought about getting. I don't mind long conversations. I can kind of sence wich replys are important to the game. If it is point and click I might give it a try as I don't like games that are hard to control.

I didn't care for this game myself- hate third person, hate a lotta conversations! But conversation and third person is exactly what a lot of people like, so different strokes and all that!

That's what impressed me about it -- that they managed to portray a world and its culture, similar to our own in some ways but very different in others.

The conversations were important to allow the gamer to understand the people in the game and what was important to them. It let me see how shallow and actually conflicted they were living in their society. I normally wish to visit science fiction game worlds, but not that one. I did learn to respect Phoenix, and I'm really anticipating (hopefully) the next game. I think that one will show what she's all about.

I enjoyed Culpa Innata a lot. The sci-fi setting was interesting.

It has some obvious problems, it wasn't too pretty and the dialogue need improvements.

But the gameplay (almost) never halted. I'm not a great puzzle solver and when I'm stuck facing an "impossible" puzzle I usually lose interest (or read a walkthrough and lose interest). In Culpa Innata you could ask one person X questions/day before moving to the next person or come back next day. This made me feel I always had something to do and never get stuck. (Well, almost never)

I did not enjoy this game at all, and don't care about the sequel. Nothing happens, then the day is over and she has to gossip with that dumb friend. I and hated that I could not ask every question I wanted. If a dialog option appears I should be able to use, not be restricted.

I didn't start off enjoying this game, it took me 3 tries before I really got going. I enjoyed it a lot, but I wish that you weren't restricted to talking to characters only once a day. Some days I had to run around finding things to do so I could end the day and go back to the person I wanted to speak to.
But I certainly would buy any sequel.

The answer is....chocolate! Who cares what the question is.....

I loved this game also. I couldn't stop playing it. I guess everyone has different preferences but it's on my favorite games list. Can't wait for a sequel.

I also had trouble getting into the game, but once I did I was hooked. I found myself immersed in the story line and now I am looking forward to the sequel.
