Hi Chief I really like this game but am stuck - and at the kind of puzzle where I always get stuck I'm in the crypt, "shrunk down nicely", trying to position the balls on the sarcophagus. And I feel as if I've been here for about six months !! Can you suggest any sequence of moves, please ?? Cheers. Mad

I've been writing a rough walkthrough as I've been playing as well. I put it online for my friend overseas. It seems I've gotten about as far as the Dutch guy has. But here's the link http://locvw.wordpress.com/I hope it helps someone. edit: finished the "unofficial" walkthrough. it is rough but it is linear and has some screen shots.

Sokra, after visiting all 3 huts and picking up a controler and 2 crystal, combine them in Inventory. Go to the glowing hut and insert that combo of controler and crystal on the device. You have 10 knobs: from left to right on each row, press 2, 5, 1, 3, 6, 7, and 9 Then go to the right hut and talk to Rael Ka. Good luck. Mad, to you want a save game? Indeed that puzzle is random. Hi! I'm in the villa and need to open the safe. I know the solution from the lili's WT, but I read here in some post that there is a letter with a drawing on the table. For the life of me I couldn't find this letter. Please help.

Springchicken, look at the corner of the desk on the right.
It's not obvious that it is for the puzzle but you can see in the drawing 2 empty tubes and 2 full.
But you can't take the drawing.

Sokra, from the hologram, go to the right passage and be in the sleeping quarters. Approach the sleeping quarter and see the ring on the desk. Chief Great that you finished the game. have fun with your next one. Chief Edit: please Chief, do not double post

Hi Chief - Love the "self editing" BTW. !! And thank you for your email and save game stuff [I only just got chance to get back to my machine so apologies for the delay.] I see that you have sent four "parts" for the save but I'm not quite sure where to put them in the game files. I can't find anything that resembles save games already there. The only things I HAVE found that are numbered and so look like save games are in a folder called "store" and they have what resembles an IE style of icon followed by "htm101/102/103 etc. But they are all called "Documents". [I have looked in My Documents also but can't see anything there either.] So I'm having to ask for further help, please [And thanks to you, nanette for your offer of a save game also ] Cheers. Mad

Mad, when you are in The Legend of Crystal Valley folder, then click on "Bin" and see the saves.
If you open any saves, they have 4 files.
I'm as lost as you. Maybe I should send my self a new save and check what happens.
Chief.

Hi Chief - and thanks for such a prompt reply However .... When I open "Bin" these are what I see .... cfg data help Microsoft.VC90.CRT setup Plus a load of other items called : Application Extensions PYD Files and 1 x DAT File I've clicked on them all but can't find a list of saved games anywhere amongst them [If you need to throw me over to "Bugs & Glitches" so I don't use too much space up on this board, I won't mind ] Cheers. Very strange Mad. I also have the cfg, data, ...... and saves. I have 33 files in the Bin folder. Hum! Chief Edit: Mad, we can't send saves in a casual game as this one.

Mad, at a guess you're using Vista? Vista has a nasty way of hiding many savegames (I speak from experience and chucked Vista after 2 frustrating months)
1. Click the round blue Start thing in the left corner 2. Click Control Panel 3. Click Folder Options 4. Click the View tab 5. Click Show hidden files and folders 6. Click OK
Now do a search for for instance name.loc in station C. That will hopefully give you the location of your savegames and you can tinker with the savegame Chief sent you.
Don't forget to reverse the hiding proces once everything is OK - or if it didn't work out of course
I hope this helps!

Hi Chief - and thank you for your time, trouble and email It appears I shouldn't have bothered you at all but I wasn't aware that The Legend of Crystal Valley was classed as a "casual" game. The thread I saw announcing its release was on the Adventure Games Discussion Board. It is also listed in our Latest & Upcoming Adventure Games. [And I actually thought hints for casual games were dealt with on the Casual Board - but I don't see it mentioned there .... all the hints for the game are being given here.] So, feeling rather perplexed now nanette .... I have WinXP Home. I have never tried and do not want to ever try Vista !! Cheers. Mad
