I am enjoying this game, but have hit a snag. I have fallen down a hill trying to retrieve the eye and am at the well where Pepita has fallen in. I have retrieved the block from where she has fallen in, also the axle, wheel, short and long rope. I combined the block cheek plate I already had plus the axle and wheel to get a block. Now the walkthrough says I am to combine the long rope and block plus another block and I'm trying to figure out where that other block is. Only thing I can think of is to disassemble the one I just made, but it has already started to combine the long rope, the block I just made and now I need another block. I can't go back to get the trolley one because it won't let me back up the hill until I'm done. Need help on this one. Also, what do I do when my station is completely filled, I pick up something else and there is no place to put it. That happened once and I had to go back to a save because it wouldn't let me put it back or to that place in the right hand corner. I couldn't disassemble anything because I still had the item in my hand. Help on that too. Thanks.

It sounds as though you already have the two blocks needed to make the tackle? One block you took from the tower above the mine shaft, and the other block you assembled using the plate, axle and wheel. Then combine the two blocks with the long rope.

Bernard is correct, the inventory has tabs along the top which open up new pages in which to store items. That'll give you lots more space!

Whew, thanks for the tip on the storage. Thought those were just blocks of wood. I had seen the tabs/arrows below, but guess I didn't look good enough at the top. AS far as the block, I combined the block cheek plate + axle+wheel and got a block. When I picked up the long rope and clicked on the block, they are now listed as long rope + block (which is the one I just combined)+ block - this is the one I don't have in my inventory. Don't think the block I took from the tripod about Pepita is the Block Cheek Plate, but if it is, that's the one I used already. I'm soooo confused. Anyway I don't have another one in my storage.

Just to clarify:

You made a block from the = block cheek plate + axle + wheel. That is one block.
There is another block that is on top of the tower above the mine shaft.
So you combine the block you made + rope + the block that is from the tower to make a tackle.

Yes, the first sentence is correct, but I can't find the block that I took from the mine shaft to make that tackle. The rope and the block I made are already waiting for the other block. I went back to the mine shaft and looked up, but the block is gone. There is no block to take from the storage and nothing in the right hand top corner. Guess I'm going to have to go back, maybe to the next to last save and redo this. It's driving me bonkers. Thanks MaG.

Just to be clear since I am not even 80% sparking - you looked at the tower, correct?
The tower is a very tall structure at the back of the mine.
On top of that tower should be a block.

Yep, it wasn't there, because it was in the top right corner where items go. I had forgotten I now had storage room and so forgot the items that were stuck in the right hand corner place, including that block which was the very last item. I knew it had to be something simple - and it was. Again, thanks MaG for your patience. I did finish all that and have now dug at the X.

Almost done with the game, but know I could not have continued on without the walkthrough. I am with LJ and Pepita at this circle on the table. Have done everything up to and including the "Start Date: 7 Monkey - Destination Point: 1 Flint and Days Counted: 7. Went back to the table and had LJ pres 3 dots, Pepita 2 dots and I pressed 2. Before, I was then to press the croc's head, but it doesn't say that this time. After the dots were pressed there was suppose to be a cut scene, but nothing happened. Yes, I did move the monkey a little (maybe I should have moved it more) out of the 3:00 position and back again.
I went back and again moved the monkey and did that part again and then chose my own dots to add up to 7, but still nothing happened. Am I to click on the croc again? What have I missed? Thanks.

Best to start over from the saved game. Yes - after doing correctly a puzzle, click on the serpent's head to enter the solution and go to the next puzzle or end the puzzle.

That's what I was afraid you were going to say. I had clicked on the croc's head, but there still wasn't a cut scene. So back I go. Sure is frustrating when you're almost done and then - oh well.
