Mad....me too. I've always been more of an adventure girl, but after finding Oblivion two years ago, I've been hooked on the Darkside! Help! LOL btw--guys, to save room I'll combine my questions and everything in this one post. Tonight I noticed something that might be a bug (not sure) and so I was wondering what I can do about it. I'm in the Telvanni House and doing quests, and for one of them I have to get a silver staff from one of the Mage Guild people in Sadrith Mora. Well, when I ask around about the staff they all tell me that "Arielle has it". Then when I go to ask Arielle herself, she says, "Arielle has it." Now I'm stuck and not sure what to do. Do you guys know what this might mean and what I can do about it? I'd appreciate any help you all can give me! Thanks so much gals and guys, Cat

I decided to stick with my killing the taxwoman, L4L you are right, maybe they all need to bite the dust. So now I get to kill a magistrate, this time I will try the taunting so I don't feel so guilty about it. Actually I no longer feel bad, just wicked.
Catbelly36 I have no idea about the Telvanni House quests, I am Fighters, Mages, and Redoran, and something in the Ashlanders but that doesn't count.

Thanks so much gals and guys, Cat Cat, as I'm currently house Telvanni, I remember doing that quest not too long ago, and Arielle Phiencel, that female Breton Nightblade who sells spells, sold it to me for a reasonably large amount - I think 300 gold. If you have some loot on you, and it's anything enchantable, just sell it to that other female Breton (the enchanter who tends to stand next to and talk at the same time as Arielle ) for the cash. Your case does sound strange - perhaps click on those words again in your dialogue window with Arielle ("Arielle has it"). The other thing I'm wondering is - those bunch of mages at the Sadrith Mora guild (shame, their guild premises are obviously too small for all of them) all tend to cluster together and one can easily click on the wrong one, since they're so close together... - just a thought...

Hey thanks guys. I'm not sure what happened but the next time I went to try to get that silver staff from Arielle, suddenly she told me that she had it and that I could buy it for 300 drakes. Maybe I didn't have any money when I asked her before so she didn't offer? Not sure. But anyway, I finally got past that and thanks so much for your help guys. EDIT: Me again. I was just playing around with a Thieve's Guild quest that took me to the Under Skar part of Ald-run (sp?). Anyway, here I chose Telvanni in a super-hurry, and now I find that I am in love with the looks of all the Redoran houses and stuff. They're beautiful and I wish I could live here now! lol sigh.... I HAD read somewhere that there was a glitch that allowed you to join two houses at once, but when I tried to join Redoran as a Telvanni, they pretty much told me "no go". Does anyone know if that glitch is still around or if it's possible to "make" something like that happen using the console? (I haven't even begun to play with the console yet---I think that'll come later unless I get desperate and HAVE to have it, but I had to ask) Hope I'm not driving you guys nuts but I have ONE more question. LOL Tonight I noticed that after I did a Thieve's Guild quest that made the Mage's Guild in Ald-ruhn leave and come back, suddenly the Stilt-strider driver is no longer there. It's like he just disappeared. I do have another saved game I can use, but there's alot of stuff I'll have to go back and do darn it, unless I can find a way to make the driver re-appear. Unless he does, I won't be able to get to certain places and I'm worried I'll be stuck. If you guys have any ideas for getting him back, I'd appreciate it! Thanks again you guys...so glad you're here! Cat

Sometimes that driver can be found at ground level, behind the actual Stilt Strider

Here's an explanation of the multiple house glitch: Morrowind:Redoran or Telvanni and Hlaalu...and as Mad pointed out the Silt Strider driver has a tendancy to fall off his platform and end up somewhere at ground level. A similar and rather humerous issue can also occur with the Boatman near Vivec. If he falls off the pier you have to talk to him underwater to get a ride.

My Balmora driver fell off also, I was beginning to think something out there got him. Another weird thing happens when you use the travel cheat (I think it is to Ebonheart) my feet seemed to be stuck in something cement, there was water and I couldn't move at all.
I just arrived in Ebonheart where I am supposed to talk to a guy about the Black Brotherhood and got the choice of paying gold, etc. So I paid and promptly lost my beautiful stolen glass armor. No way I am giving that up so I went back to a save, stripped right then and there, dropped all my gold since much was stolen. Hopefully I didn't have any stolen weapons as I forgot to check my arsenal. Then I paid my $40 bounty, he still didn't give much information and put my armor back on. So there!!
Am I still in danger of losing my loot if I get a bounty again, or am I cleared. I am not even sure what I got busted for, maybe the tax woman, but I killed the only guy that saw me.

The travel cheat as i know it, consists of typing COC into your console and then typing the placename you want to go to, but i hardly ever use it, since i don't know all the correct placenames as recognized by the console code. Well, you see, Hawka, this is why it's best to rather taunt (or enrage by using a spell), people into attacking you first if you want to kill them. As long as they attack you first, then you have commited no crime in killing them. (Self-defense, see? ) I just assumed it was coffee break time Mad...

I use it when I go to visit Creeper, I also prefer to walk most of the time. But when you have tons of stuff and it is way too heavy and you are sooooo far away, this works. There are also coordinates you can type in to go directly to an area. I used those when I just couldn't find a place, then it would be marked on my map.

The travel console command COC is an acronym for Center-On-Cell. By entering a name of a city you'll end up at coordinate zero for that region, which can be under water, under a building, in solid rock and so on. I think there is another method that allows you to enter three coordinate numbers after the command so you can transport to pretty much any location. I can't recall the command off hand, but I'll check back when I find it...

I have it written down Trail, but I don't remember what site I got coordinates from.
Using coordinates 1. hit Tab to bring up character in 3rd person 2. hit "tilde" key 3. type in "position cell" without quotes, then type in coordinates for the area you want to go to - do not put a space between the numbers, don't forget "-". After the last number, hit space bar and type "x", then enter
Here are the coordinates for Tree Stump Treasures -11727,-60170,271,231 if someone wants to try it out. Just save first so you can get back to what you were doing, could be a long walk back.

er... seeing that you use it all the time, do you have the co-ordinates for The Creeper? (btw - Gboomers really needs an "innocent" or "angel" smiley.... ) ..although, IIRC, in Caldera's case, the COC command does work, and is easy to use - I think it brings you to just outside the town.. Of course, if close to a mages guild, one could simply use their transport.

I use COC Caldera when visiting Creeper, you end up up the street from him. I still haven't found the website where the coordinates are all listed, the ones I have written down are for the following locations and people. Arkngthand, Ashanammu, Hlormar Wine-Sot, Uveran Ancestral Tomb, Nevrasa Oraylor, Vassir-Didanat Cave, Balmora map -unexplored shipwreck (right by opening of Odair, lefthand side), Aldruhn - neglected shipwreck, Shunned shipwreck, remote shipwreck, Andrano Tomb, Holamayan map Nchurdamz, Molag Mar Map Nchurdamz, Ald Daedroth map location 6 - Shallit, Rothan Ancestral Tomb - Maar Gan, Favel Tomb, Vas, Adanumuran, Zainsipilu, Tree Stump, Tree Stump Treasures, Maar Gan Ashimanu Mine, Mamaea -west of Bal Isa, Reda Tomb, Mudcrab Merchant, Sarano Tomb.
If anyone wants the coordinates to these let me know. Once you have the location marked on your map it makes it alot easier to find your way there.

Hey guys.....speaking of console stuff, I wasn't going to use it yet since I'm a newbie, BUT, I'm doing a quest for the Mage's Guild and can't kill the orcs in one of the ruins so that I can get blueprints. I found a console code online, but when I put it in, I get error messages. Could just be me not typing it right, but I'm not sure. If anyone has a link to a good page of codes/commands, i'd really appreciate it! PS Thank you for all your help again guys. I've made Mouth in House Telvanni btw, and will be getting my fortress built soon! Yay! (Of course, now I'm in love with the Redoran manors at Ald-ruhn, so I'm half-tempted to get booted out of Telvanni and try Redoran. I'm so fickle. LOL) Cat

Here you go Catbelly36: Morrowind Console CodesThere is also a page of cheats here if needed: Morrowind Cheats The particular wiki these came from is quite informative. It doesn't have everything, but it's worth bookmarking.

(Of course, now I'm in love with the Redoran manors at Ald-ruhn, so I'm half-tempted to get booted out of Telvanni and try Redoran. I'm so fickle. LOL) I don't know if you can even get booted from Telvanni The Redoran manors are cool, but if you make House Father your strong hold is literally out in the middle of no where. Most folks seem to like the the Hlaalu strong hold. Personally, I always seem to end up dropping most of my ill gotten goods at Addamasartus; the smugglers's cave near Seyda Neen. Not very bright, but tons of storage space and you can always spruce it up a bit with candles and lamps and such. I've never been booted from a house so I don't know how the game handles attempting to pick up a new Great House especially if you have already offended them in some way...

Thanks Hawk! Well I'm still only a level 3, but I've been really doing the quests intensely; that's so much fun I get hooked into whatever guild I'm working with and HAVE to do all the quests, so that's how I finally got up in the Telvanni House ones. Of course some of them are too hard for me as far as killing monsters and stuff, so I'll have to come back to them, but I just loved the idea of having my own stronghold so much that I had to keep on going with the Telvanni ones. Trail: That's a good point even if I got booted out of one House, that might not mean that another one would take me in! LOL LOL I like that cave you mentioned btw....it IS very cozy and a good place to drop your stuff off I bet. I like to use that place in Caldera (forgot the name). The room is beautiful and I've made it mine by dropping my stuff there and sleeping there, just "unlocking it" with my Open spell when I want to go. (or actually paying for it sometimes like a good girl. lol) Cat

Hi Morrowind Veterans I only have Morrowind and Tribunal installed so far but have done most of the faction quests (although still lots of tombs and caves unexplored as yet, of course) and my next task in the MAIN quest is to go after The Lost Prophesies. Would now be a good time install Bloodmoon ?? Or should I leave it a while longer ?? Cheers. Mad
