Hi. I bought and played these two Carol games when they were new. Recently, I got the urge to replay them and tried loading them.
No Joy.
Can somebody tell me what could be going wrong?
On an XP with SP2. Each of the games just sat in the DVD drawer idling and that was it.
Thank you!

Can you access the discs via Windows Explorer or "My Computer"? If you can, it's probably the autostart function on your computer that has been disabled for some reason. This tends to happen from time to time. You can install the games by simply double clicking the .exe files.

If you can't access the discs at all, I'd say that that it's something wrong with your CD (or more likely DVD) drive, since:

1) The discs obviously have worked before.
2) BOTH of the discs refuse to start.

If you do have some means of transferring the disc content to some other media (like a USB stick or something) using another computer, you can always do that, since the discs aren't copy protected.

HI Mikeal, thank you for responding. I just finished replaying Lost Souls today, so I don't think anything can be wrong with the DVD drive, so it must be the autorun. I'll try your suggestion since I can access the DVDs. I really want to replay them both now!

Mikael, both games loaded and are playing the way they should. I'm always having crazy problems, but thank you anyway for your help!
