Hi,
I know most of you know this but I don't and I need to ask. When I down load and install a game from GOG, can I delete the down loads and save space on the computer, and still play the game? I know if I delete the game I would have to re-ddownload. If I store so many as I have a slow connection, it seems to take space.
Thanks for all the help. I read every day hoping to learn.
Charllotte

I always copy the installers to a CDR or DVD+R. It's much faster for me to get them off a CDR or DVD+R than to re-download them.

Thanks Jenny,
I will give this a try. I just want to be legal and not cheat anyone.
Charllotte,
PS. Does it save space?

If you copy the installer to a CDR or DVD+R, you don't have to worry about saving it on your hard drive. CDR's and DVD+R's last MUCH longer than hard drives.

And you can back up your GOG games as many times as you want. You're just not supposed to sell them.

I'm planning to download from GOG. I plan to save to DVD. How do I do this best? Do you save the whole game directly to DVD?

Download the game to your hard drive.
You can burn the installer (the file you download from GOG) to DVD either before or after installing the game.

You don't burn the installed game folder to your hard drive because that won't include any registry changes. You only burn the file (or files) you downloaded from GOG.

GOG sometimes includes other files besides the installer, like a separate file for the manual. You can burn those files along with the installer file to the DVD.
