I thought I might try DD II Ego Draconis next.

It doesn't seem to have attracted rave reviews anywhere - well I haven't found any - so I wondered if anyone here has a good word for it think

I did not buy it because the reviews were not encouraging. I would have loved a real DDII, but it sounds like too many changes for me.

It might be a good one to rent.

This is a fun game. But I could not finish it. Must fly as a dragon to get into the last Zone to finish the game. My flying was ok as long as I was not stuck to fly into a very restricted space like that last one.
My first play was a disaster, my character was too weak. On my second play, following a very good walkthrough I found, I enjoyed that game very much. My girl was super woman. With Magic Missile I was unstoppable...until that last zone as a dragon.
According to a few Game Guides I read, many people succeeded in finishing that game, but not me: not fast enough on the buttons!!!

Larian Studios Forum is very helpful and many people loved this game.
Gamepressure.com has a good walkthrough and lots of maps.
Gamefaqs has 1 walkthrough that I found full of all kinds of useful informations. I dont quite know how to write down the right addresses in here!
I will play this game again and will try to finish it this time, but I am not very hopeful unless my speed increases drastically on the keyboard!

I bought a copy, and I'm sorry to hear the comments that it isn't, as I had hoped, a real sequel to the first DD. I found Beyond Diviinity to be disappointing, as well. A decent game, but not the same.

Still, I'll fire DD2 Up someday. Right now I'm playing the original Sacred Gold, and started on Bronze by mistake. It's almost like playing in God mode. lol One fireball takes care of everything, except the odd dragon.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

My brother tells me there were a lot of complaints about the ending of Ego Draconis. Too bad because I liked the idea of riding a dragon (like in Drakan). But when my brother told me *why* people didn't like the ending, I said "Ugh! They can keep it." I suppose someone somewhere thought it would be "cool" or "innovative" to have an ending like that. But I don't think so.

Hmm. I loved Drakan, but I never could beat the ending because it was on the dragon. Granted that was before I was really into action-type games, but still, the dragon was beyond me. But maybe it'll be like Swoop Racing in Kotor -- I might finally master it and learn to enjoy it.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

I will be giving the game a bit of play at some point Jenny100 - if only because I paid full whack for it - but I'm certainly no longer expecting to be elated !! wink

And hagatha. I was pathetic at Swoop Racing and never enjoyed it. But I hugely enjoyed the rest of the KotOR stuff.
Brilliant games, I felt yes

I played Divinity II as a mage until the very disappointing end. I very much like the game, one of my favorites. I guess it helps to achieve at least level 20 at the time you have to fly as a dragon the first time at the battle tower.
I played in normal difficulty level most of the time. Fighting as a dragon was very challenging at times, since the upgrades are limited, but it is not impossible to win the fights.
There is a pretty good walkthrough on Gamepressure.com, which can be downloaded also.

I'll bear that in mind, Heidi, as I'm sure I'll need all the help I can get when I come to play this game !! eek

Thanks thumbsup
