Should I be downloading each update that Adobe says is available? Is there any reason not to?

The answer is....chocolate! Who cares what the question is.....

Yes you should update it. Recently there have been several security holes discovered in Adobe products.

Yes, Mary they ask me with Windows 7 to upgrade to thier Adobe 9 reader, and once in awhile they have pop up screen that they auto download updates, but my NORTON 360 say's thier site is safe without virus!
The only red flag I got was when I bought the new version of Google Earth and Google Earth Viewer, which they sent me to 3 different sites to download and my virus contol went crazy on one of the sites, but after I ran an scan ,it was clean!!!, Have an good afternoon in N.Y., MIKE N.

Google Earth is free, Mike. The only official one is from the Google website. If you were being redirected to somewhere you had to buy it, it would have been a bogus site which should have set off all kinds of alarms with your virus control, as it was a ploy to get you to download a virus.

The only place to get the official Google Earth is ***here***

According to their website, they no longer offer Google Earth Pro for sale to enterprise users. But I still found a link to buy the Enterprise version, so who knows.

Once again, weeds are my life!

I always update the Adobe Flash Player whenever I get a message to do so.

Having said that, the following was just posted on the Big Fish forums:

"Hey folks,

Adobe recently released a new version of their Flash Player (version 10.1) that is not compatible with a small % of software including some games. Please do not update your current version of Adobe Flash Player as this may cause compatibility issues with some of your games. We are working with Adobe on a resolution.

If you have any questions or have experienced trouble with your game as a result of this recent update by Adobe, please contact Customer Support.

We will update this post with any developments on the issue.

-the Moderation Team"

I haven't had any issues as yet, but hopefully this problem will be resolved soon; I did update to version 10.1 and that was before this message was posted on Big Fish.

Adobe products like reader & flash are cross-platform, so they are perfect targets for attack.

In-fact, last year they were right at the top in terms of being targets for attack.

Unfortunately anything that's popular and widely used is a target these days. Back in the day, PDF documents were consider safe (when compared to MS word) - now it's known to be a target as well.

Is this what you bought?

http://www.google.com/enterprise/earthmaps/pro_features.html

If it is, it's probably more than you need, but it appears to be from Google.
