I started playing this game last night and saved my progress. When I tried to play the game tonight, I couldn't access my saved game. I could click on other options, and start at the beginings, but not access my previous game. Has anyone else had this happen?

This kind of thing sometimes happens in games where an antivirus (or sometimes Windows itself) is "protecting" the computer from having changes made (like creating save games) to sensitive locations on the hard drive (like C:\Program Files).

If you installed the game in C:\Program Files, uninstall it and install it somewhere else, like your user's Documents folder. Alternatively you could try running the game as Administrator (right-click the game shortcut and choose to Run as Administrator).

I have never had this happen with a game. I tried right clicking and I opened the game but to run it in ADM it asked for a password and I don't remember what my password is. I have played for several hours and hate to lose my progresss. Is there any way that I can continue the game without losing my pregress?

If I have to re-install the game in a different location, will the Documents folder be one of my options when it comes to installing it?

I guess I'm not understanding you. I thought you were unable to load any saves, which suggests they were never made in the first place -- or were automatically deleted by your OS or antivirus.

You should probably see if you can find your password somewhere. Is it possible you never made one? If not, see if it will take a blank password.

Are you using XP or Vista or 7?

I'm playing Black Mirror 2, and up in the top right hand corner, by your (diary,ect) is a (save/load,) also a ( menu,) they are small and might be overlooked. When you save you must bring up the save, type in a name and say save (also put a check mark under it). I just did a save and of course no save except the auto save. I don't know if this will help or not. I'm playing on XP Pro.

Thanks for telling me this. I don't remember typing in a name and saying save, or putting in a check-mark, so maybe I clicked on the save/load option but it didn't actually save it? Since I have never had this happen with my computer that might be what happened. I hate it that I have lost all of my progress.

Jenny, thanks for your suggestions, too. I did play for several hours and thought that I saved but the next day when I tried to play again, my saves weren't there I will start over and do a "practice" save at the beginning and see if Charlotte's suggestion works. If not, I will try to do some of the things you mentioned.


That was it! I thought that I had saved it and I hadn't. I am enjoying the game but have some technical issues so will post that in Glitches.
