Paul, I'll move you to the DarkSide where the action gamers hang out.

Paul, there is a Video Walkthrough Here. Even if they don't specifically mention those circles, you might be able to figure it out if you see them in action. luck

Paul, I have the full PC version. I've encountered a couple of those barrels too. You are supposed to destroy all the barrels to get ammo or health packs, but these will not be destroyed by anything. I have to wonder if it's a game glitch, but I don't know for sure... I checked a walkthrough in the specific places I encountered them and the walkthrough doesn't mention them at all. I think I used the IGN walkthrough with screenshots.

ty looney4 labs and draclvr....I think I will go online PS 3 and buy it...I kinda like the game...in between games right now anyway..just finished Halo Reach and I am playing the old Super Metroid on the Wii...it looks to me that the barrels are health power ups...I noticed in the video walkthrough that when Lara walked through one of them it filled her health gauge.
Hope I can continiue getting help here if I need it....which I am sure I will eventually
tks again

Hmmm... although I tried jumping on top, I didn't try walking through one. I'm sure I'll be doing a replay to try to get all the challenge points I missed the first time though!

ok, ok, ok, I hope someone is playing this game...I AM STUCK! I am in the 5th level..I climbed down a ladder and got some pistols...climbed down another ladder and I am in a room with a bunch of squares with spikes and a ammo power up in the middle...the walkthru I am looking at says to run in a clockwise motion ahead of the spikes rising....NOT!...I am beginning to think there is a glitch here....anyone remember this area?.....I hope!

Oh, yes, I definitely remember this area! It's tricky, but doable. And clockwise is definitely required. I even jumped over the first one to leave it open until I finally got around. Although if you do it just right, you don't need to do that. It took several tries before I got it.

The link Jenny gave you is a good walkthrough. I also used this one from IGN which gives screenshots - a definite must for a game like this one. GOL Walthrough IGN

I'm about to start the game and I'll check, but I think I only have 3 more levels to go.

Way to go, Paul! I sort of like those ball puzzles - good thing because there's another one later in the game!

Well I am all the way to the last level just b4 you meet with the big guy...I am in a maze type area where you have to place a spiked ball on a floor switch which opens a gate to get an item but every time I try to get to the gate all the fireballs keep kinocking the ball off the switch...I have tried various routes but the ball keeps getting knocked off the switch...don't know if I really need this item anyway...but I will try it a few more times tonight and then continue on...

Paul, I spent a couple of hours on that one and finally gave up! It certainly wasn't the first item I had to pass up!

Being 63 myself, I can totally relate to the old reflexes not being as quick as they used to be!

Ihaven't tackled the main boss yet... I'm actually away from home visiting family in Iowa. I hope to get back into it when we get back. Maybe you can let me know!

I'm definitely going to do a replay and try to get all the stuff I missed.

I just bouught new PS3 game console today but was having trouble finding the demo online and then I was playing around with the playsation store and found out that if you sign up for Playtation Network you can download the demo. I know I'm going to love it, I've played all the pc versions of Lara Croft and the old playstation and playstaion2 ones too. Now I'm a happy camper. rah rah rah

Marie I love my TR Games too. I'm replaying TR2 right now. I wish this new one was out on DVD for the PC!

I downloaded the PC version and really like the game. However, they didn't allow the gamer to use the mouse for changeing the camera angle and it makes Lara VERY hard to control.

Kaki's Sister, Yes those DVD's are so nice to have. I couldn't play the PC demo though (to old a graphics card) so that one of reasons I decided to go with the PS3 console.

It took me forever to download that demo last night so I haven't had a chance to do any game play as of yet. I hope the camera angle for PS3 isn't like the PC version because it's going to take me while to get used to the new game console.

Marie my newer computer that I use for gaming is not hooked up to the internet. My old computer has issues downloading games. Unless this game comes out on DVD I won't be playing. frown

I get what you mean Gerry, you really need the disc.

I'm finding it hard to aim the spear because of the camera, its hard to face the opponent and fire the spear where you want it to go. I'll probably get used to it in time but mean while I'm getting hammered. help

Join the club, marie! I did finally get used to it, but they sure could have made life easier for us PC gamers with allowing the camera angle to be changed with the mouse.

I think I will use a console controller when I decide to try again. Robert says that is what he uses, there is an adapter for an Xbox one available or Xbox 360 uses USB. I have a controller but it is an older one and doesn't have enough buttons. I couldn't have finished Ratatouille without it, though my left thumb will never be the same again.
