As a mad spur-of-the-moment thing I decided to buy & download this game from 'gamer unlimited' (it is a legitmate source isn't it?). I've had an e-mail with the link to the files & the activation code but my security settings won't allow me to download the files either from the link in my e-mail or directly from my account on the site? Help!, I just don't know what security settings are blocking it as I don't understand german!

What security settings do you have?
What antivirus?
What firewall?

If you have settings that filter internet or downloads over internet in your antivirus, can you turn those off temporarily?

It's hard for us to know what to do unless we know what type of setup you have. Instructions for different antivirus may be different.

If you can't speak German, you might be able to navigate the ***Gamer Unlimited website*** using a translator like ***Google translator*** and look for their support section.

See if this direct link to their help works: ***support***

Thank you Jenny100 for your help. I'll have to leave things until tomorrow now but will have a look then & come back!

Hi Jenny100, I've had other commitments for a while but keen to try & download this game now if possible without translating German!

Security settings - I'm a bit lost there - I use internet explorer & have looked at the settings but haven't got a clue what might be blocking the download!

Antivirus is McAfee

I have McAfee firewall (which has caused me problems with accessing the internet recently but sorted out) + windows firewall.

If you or anyone else can help I would be very grateful!

Thank you Jenny100 & InlandAZ for your suggestions & help. I have now managed to download & install the game - there are a few problems with running it but I will 'fiddle around' but I most probably will be back! (I now truly regret being so impatient & not waiting for the disc version out next February!)

I can't get this game to run properly - the opening cut scene plays okay but when that finishes the gameplaying area is completely white. I can hear the sound & bring up the inventory but that's about it.

The minimum specs for the game are:
Windows XP/Vista/7 with Net Framework 2.0
1.4 GHZ Pentium 4 processor
512 MB RAM
128 MB Direct X 9 compatible graphics card - from ATI Radeon 9800 Pro, Nvidia Geforce 6200TC and Intel GMA X3200
16 bit DirectX 9 compatible soundcard
6.5 GB hard disc space

My specs are:
Dell Dimension 2400
Intel (R) Celeron (R) CPU 2.40 GHZ
766MB RAM memory
DirectX 9.0
Graphics card: Radeon 9250 128.0 MB
Main Driver ati2dvag.dll

It looks like my graphics card is not good enough?

If I had to guess I'd say so. A Radeon 9250 is only DirectX 8.1 complaint and the game requires a minimum of a Radeon 9800 (DirectX 9.0 compliant video card).

According to the specs for your PC you've got either a 200 or 250 watt PSU. You'd have to upgrade the power supply before thinking about a new video card.

Do you know what version your video drivers are?

The version is 6.14.0010.6614. As far as I know i've got the latest update?

InlandAZ, thank you for your reply but I'm not thinking of spending any money on updating the PC I'm using as I have another one with a better graphics card that I just need to get fixed! Gray Matter was an impulse buy as usually I would wait for the disc version - I leapt before I looked! Whatever, I'm not going to be able to even play the disc version, when it comes out, on the PC I'm using so I need to get my other PC sorted out & maybe negogiate a download to that or cut my losses and buy the disc version for it! Thank you for your help!
