Every time I try to play Alter Ego and click "New Game" the game crashes. Here are the error messages:





I have a good computer with Windows Vista 64-bit, a good video card and updated drivers. Is there some patch or solution to this problem?

See if running it in compatibility mode for Windows XP does anything. One of the reviewers at Amazon said using compatibility mode with Windows XP helped on his 64-bit Windows 7 computer.

Right-click the game shortcut, Properties, and the Compatibility tab to access compatibility settings.

Running it in compatibility mode for Windows XP fixed the problem. The game is now running without problems so far. Thanks for your help.
