This game appears to have the makings of a great game. Walkthru is somewhat vague. I can't seem to find the bottle of ether. The walkthru says to go up into his LAB and get the bottle of ether and Edna will begin speaking. However--the only place I can go is outside and back into the lab. If the bottle of ether is there I can't locate it even if I use the hot spot. Are the lab and office the same area?? Need small hint

Tomco, is this the newer one or the older one?

I'm thinking it may be the older one as we haven't been able to find a WT for the newer one.

If it is the newer one, have you Checked this Thread?

looney4labs--Not sure if my game is old or new. Bought it new at target store last week for $19.95. The walkthru (3 of them) I got from Gameboomers. Hope this helps.

Yes, it does...at least a bit as that means it is the older version.

Now, the bad news means we have to wait for a veteran of that version to help. wave

looney4labs--Where can I get a NEW version of this game? Seems strange that Target stores would sell old games rather than new ones. How about Dave's for the new version?

Thanks for the help---Tomco

Tomco, the other thread says that both Dave and the Adventure Shop have the new one.

It is confusing sometimes when different games have the same name or the same game has different names. wave

Well, I wish I could have told you where that ether was. lol

You know, I wonder if I leaped to an incorrect conclusion. The WT's on GB are for the older version, but you might have the new game (though it's quite possible Target sold the old one too).

Can you compare the front of yours with the one that Dave sells?

Does your game look like this?

looney4labs--My game box is the same as the one Dave has for sale. If this is correct the walkthru's must be for the old version. Thus--no walkthru's are available for the new version at this time.

Thanks again--Tomco

Yes, that is correct, however, the thread linked above may be of help.

I'm glad we figured out which one you had. Sorry it took me so long.

So now that we know it's the new version, do any of you guys who played the new version know where that pesky bottle of ether is?

Edit: So is the reason you are looking for Ether because of the WT?

What exactly are you stuck on?

Yes--I'm looking for the Ether bottle because the old walkthru mentions it. I'm currently looking at the threads you mentioned that other players are using and they should be helpful.

THANKS AGAIN--Tomco

Well, good, I hope you get going again. Perhaps this version doesn't have a bottle of ether and that is why you have been unable to find it. luck

I have two new questions regarding "Hot Spots"

1) Near the ladder at the beginning of the game--a hot spot appears but I can't get Jekyll to pick it up.

2) In the cave I have moved the boulder and there are 2 hot spots. I picked up the mantle and I am unable to activate the 2nd hot spot.

Any hints or solutions on these two hot spots would be appreciated

Tomco

tomco, I just noticed this thread, sorry, I thought the 'other' one was the only current one.
The walkthroughs you mention relate to an old version of the game - the copyright notice at the bottom of the 1st one is dated 2002!
So there is NO bottle of ether in this version.
Although I don't know of a full walkthrough for the 2010 version, the other thread has lots of useful stuff in it.
Sometimes you have to 'look' at an item before you can perform an action on it.

ROBBO--Thanks for the suggestion--I have reviewed the original thread several times. The main problem I have with this game--I don't have any REAL direction when I am moving around in the tunnels. Gameboomers has been extremely helpful since day 1 in answering my questions.

Thanks --Tomco
