I found that some stores will push the most expensive telling me nothing else is good enough for games etc.
Sometimes even their most expensive isn't good enough for games. People often underestimate the importance of the video card for gaming. And with a laptop you really have to get one that has a good video card because you can't update the video card later.
Avoid any video card that uses "shared" memory.
"Hypermemory" is a type of shared memory.
You want discrete memory for your video card.
Avoid Intel graphics. Don't confuse Intel graphics with Intel processors. Intel processors are fine. But most adventure game makers test their games with ATI Radeon and Nvidia Geforce video cards and not with Intel graphics.
Also, avoid "budget" versions of ATI and Nvidia cards. Budget versions often lack the functionality of mid-range or high level video cards. ATI and Nvidia make some great video cards, but they also make some awful ones -- awful for gaming anyway.
I saw this
***Acer AS7551G-6477*** recommended at
***this website***.
It has an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 graphics with 1GB of discrete video RAM.
Nice specs for the price.
