I have been using google chrome for one thing I play on line, what do you think of it?? Can I get something better? I can never find their search like I can on IE, which I have always liked. Can I get some help with this, hope I am the right area.

Thanks

If you like IE, why don't you use IE? Or is it that you don't like the current IE, which is IE9?

Jenny100-

Sorry to be so long in getting back to you, John and I were away for awhile, we both felt we needed it. Is there much difference between IE8 and IE9 and if so would you mind tell me what and do you use it?? Hope you and everyone else had a Happy 4th of July.

Thanks

If I remember, you have Vista, right? IE9 is only for Vista and Windows 7. You can always download it and try it. It has a lean look to it, more like Chrome. You can read more ***here.***

I don't want to throw a curve but have you considered Firefox?? - It's free and version 5 is very secure.

It is a fast browser too. It uses Java and Flash which are 2 of the driving forces of the Internet!

It is very customizable as you can change Themes, Tool Bars, etc. There are tons of Add-ons like adobe reader, screen captures you can modify, the list is endless.

IE Explorer has gotten much better but it still uses ActiveX controls which the spyware guys love. devil

We do not care for Google Chrome - it actually slowed down some PC's here!

Just my few cents worth. wink

Firefox is still my first choice and the browser I use 99.9% of the time for all of the reasons sureshot mentions.

All browsers are free, maggie. They're practically begging you to come get them. <g>

We use it exclusively at work and on our home computers. It installs easily on any operating system - all versions of Windows, Linux and MAC !

Try Firefox - you have nothing to loose and could have a lot of fun with customizing and setting it up to suit you.

Thank you Traveler and Draclvr too!
