Hope someone can help. I am about a third the way through this game and all of a sudden up comes this message:

Microsoft Visual C+=Runtime Library: Keepsake.exe - Application Error.
The instruction at "0x010f4588"referenced memory at 0x010f4588". The memory could not be read.
Followed by

Keepsake Error"
Unhandled Exception:
Code: the thread tried to read from or write to a virtual address for which it does not have the appropriate access
Operation: read, Address: 3722304989.

I have just turned on the water and was on my way to activating the water into the pond around the garden bed I planted the nigilis seed. Would it be possible for someone to send me a patch. I am hoping this is just a glitch and not a major problem with the game. looking forward to any help given. cheers, Alfoil. frown

You can try the patch from HERE. I don't know if it will fix your problem but you can try it.

I also had trouble with Keepsake crashing and I appied a patch which stopped all the problems - bad news is I can't remember where from, but I'm sure a patch will solve your problems. luck

I am in the middle of downloading the patch right now and am not sure how to apply it. If I copy and paste it into the keepsake operating file does that do it for me or do I have to apply it to the save section of the actual game itself? My husband normally does this for me but he is at work at the moment. cheers, Alfoil.

No. You'll have to run the patch. If it's in the form of a zip file, you'll have to unzip it before running it.

Where did you get the patch? If we can look at it, we'll be able to tell whether you need to unzip it or not.

Cathy1 sent me a post which had a highlighted HERE for the patch so I just clicked on that and downloaded from there. The site is called StratageyInformer. I downloaded the 1.6 patch. cheers Alfoil.

That's an exe patch.
See what happens if you double-click it after downloading.

Don't laugh, I don't know where it is. I was expecting to see a file on the desktop but no.

Hi alfoil.
When you click on the patch to download it you have to pick a place to download it too. Click browse and choose your desktop. After it downloads then click on the exe file and go from there. Did you scroll to (almost bottom of the page) where it says download now in yellow) ? Then do what I said above and it should download to your desktop.

If you have Windows 7 or Vista, the default download location is your Downloads folder
C:\Users\whatever-your-username-is\Downloads

Thank you, I will try again. I did download from the bottom of the page. I went looking and found the file in program files etc. When I opened it, it wasn't actually the patch, just the site to download from. I downloaded it again and got the same thing. Obviously I am doing something wrong. I have looked at the keepsake exe file/bins and there is no sign of it there. I actually haven't had the choice of desktop etc when I ran the download. Ah! What am I doing wrong? cheers.

I couldn't get it from Strategy Informer either -- instead I got a blank page saying "expired."

Try the download at ***Softpedia*** or ***Gamershell***.
You might have to click a "click here to begin" on the download page to get the download to start.

Have downloaded the file now, where to I apply it. Do I paste it into the keepsake exe file or one of the bin files? cheers.

Just double-click the file.
It may prompt you for the location where the game is installed.
