Is there a way to make TMoS run on win7? It just won't run. :-\

Have you tried using compatibility mode? Right click the gameplay icon, select Troubleshoot Compatibility and follow the prompts.

I have, it didn't do a thing :-\

Did you install with the Setup file set to compatibility mode before installing?
Did you install to a location other than the Program Files folder?
Did you try running as an administrator? (right-click the game exe and choose to Run as Administrator)

TMOS was released with Starforce v3 which isn't Windows 7 compliant - you may need to search for a NoCD patch.

The DVD version (Digital Jesters) had StarForce 3.
The CD version (Dreamcatcher/Adventure Company) had no copy "protection."
So whether you need a patch depends on which version you have. If you have a version with StarForce, you definitely need the NoCD.

I am having the same problem, I have tried all the above solutions, the only patch(DVD version) I could find where for either Russian, French or German, I tried the most up to date German one just to see if it would work), pasted it into the programme files re-booted but I still got the pop up saying blocked because of driver not compatible with this game,- Star Force Projection: any other options I could try

According to what I found with Google, the 7MB size NoCD is the one that works. Don't forget that you have to "unrar" with a program like WinRar or 7-zip it if it comes as a .rar compressed file.

How'd they get away with that one? I think I have a CD copy, I'll see if it installs for me.

It would be great if using the exe from the Dreamcatcher version with the Digital Jesters version worked to get rid of the StarForce requirement. I'm not sure if any other files would need replacing. The NoCD seemed to include both an exe and a dll.

I don't have a link to an English version.
The only NoCD's I know about are for the German, French, or Russian versions of the game. Just Google for the words
Moment of Silence NoCD
and you'll find those versions.

If Inland can get his game installed, maybe he can send you the exe that came with his game. I'm not sure it will work with your game, but it's worth a try.

Found it, installed it - it runs fine. I have the 4 CD version, and the only thing I did was change the install location to my User Folders.

The executable I have is 588 KB and there's also a launcher that's 883 KB, you're welcome to try them just let me know.
