As per the system requirements, I have:

1) Acer laptop, specs: Win 7 (64-bit), 500 GB HDD, NVidia GeForce GT 420M CUDA @ 1 GB, Intel Core i3 370M Processor @ 2.4 GHz, 4 GB DDR 3 RAM, DL DVD drive;

Not too sure if either of these laptops will be able to run Bracken Tor adequately?

This site has an interactive test for your question.

According to the requirements listed on the game's website http://www.brackentor.com/ either computer should play it.

Robert, your link doesn't work. Could you fix it, please?

@Jenny100 - are you saying both of my laptops should be able to play Bracken Tor b/c Bracken Tor calls for a 3 GHz Pentium 4, and the Core i3/Core 2 Duo in either of my laptops outperform a Pentium 4 @ 3Ghz?

I'll just answer the part about the 3.0 Ghtz P4 part. The Core i3 and the Core 2 Duo will leave the old 3.0 Ghtz P4 sputtering in the dust.

If you're going to be a computer tech, you need to learn how to do a copy/paste.
Don't ask people who are trying to help you to do extra work when the forum software doesn't automatically turn an http link into a hotlink.

Yes, as Draclvr has explained. You should learn this kind of thing in your classes when they get around to teaching you about processors.

Jenny, I just learned something: the copy/paste of Robert's link worked! It took me to that interactive site where you plug in your computer specs to see if the game will run on said computer, and I found out that my Dell XPS laptop's video card is inadequate, although its CPU and RAM will handle the game. But my Acer will play it just fine - got gold check-marks for CPU, GFX, and RAM.

Didn't your XPS have a Geforce 8600 card? That's better than the Geforce 7600 GT listed at Game debate.

Yes, it does. I'll link back to that site and run my XPS specs thru again.

EDIT - I ran the specs of the Dell XPS laptop thru again, and these are the results - what gives??

Dell XPS specs results

I've used that site for *testing from time to time but it is not an exact science, on a couple of occasions it said that my laptop would not be able to play a couple of games ex: Gray Matter and my Lappy played it without a single hiccup.

*In fact I remember recommending this site to friends for testing purposes but I always mention that is only good to give you a general idea of what you MIGHT need to run a game.
