I use a laptop and do not like having the "tap to click" function turned on. I always keep it off, but lately it is turning on automatically whenever I turn on my computer.

I go into mouse properties and turn it off, but it comes back on the next time I restart my computer.

I go into "msconfig" and uncheck the Synaptics box, but that doesn't help either.

Any ideas or suggestions?

You can try updating the driver, I've run into a few older drivers that behaved like that.

I've updated the driver, but I'll try reinstalling it .
