This is a funny game. I haven't played a demo-game in a long time that I enjoyed like this one.

You're a lot closer to Dave than I am, dianne. I live all the way across the US and it usually takes three days, tops, for a game to reach me. It will be interesting to find out if the border makes much of a difference in when you get The Book of Unwritten Tales.

Mine just arrived! Inside the box is a poster with a map on the back -- I can't wait to visit the city of Lalalalalah and the foothills of Umzu. There's also a lovely small book of concept art and a soundtrack CD.

I'm just at the beginning, but I'm already impressed. I just stepped out into the snowstorm. I loved the "Legolas" bit on the dragon earlier. lol

Fabulous graphics. I like the humour also. Didn't get too far into the game as yet but it looks like it's going to be fun. thumbsup

As Wilbur, I just put my traveling gear together and left for my destination. Now I'm back as Ivo, looking for the book. I'm enjoying the story background the game provides. The difficulty level in terms of the inventory challenges is just right for the beginning of a game, IMHO.

Can't wait to see how they use the Dwarven Ale.

I've been playing the demo from the developer's website (chapter 2 - the town) for over 3 hours and am very impressed by the quality of the game, story line and challenging inventory usage quests. Delightful satirical comedy!

It looks to be a long game, judging from peeking at the length of Mag's w/t. To those who have purchased, do you recommend it?

I recommend it VERY highly, LadyCav. This is the first adventure game that has captured me since A Vampyre Story. I can't seem to stay out of the the game, but I just don't want it to end! I have to say I think the voice acting is probably the best in any game I've ever played.

Thank you, Draclvr! thumbsup I just finished the demo and it took me nearly twice as long as the website suggested, so I think it would be a long and enjoyable game for me. I am rapidly succumbing to temptation.

I also enjoyed Vampyre Story and love the snarky humor I saw in the chapter 2 demo. The graphics are lovely, the game plays smoothly on my pc, some of the challenges left me stumped for a time and the characters are a hoot. I loved...

Click to reveal..
the grim reaper in pink fuzzy bunny rabbit slippers saying "It's a da*n point and click adventure - you can't die!"

The voice acting is, indeed, excellent, and the music a perfect accompaniment. Since it seems that Bracken Tor and Last Crown won't make their appearance for some time yet, I will go ahead and purchase this game. It has already sucked me in and I want to know what happens. Thanks for the recommendation! smile

I finished the game yesterday and would highly recommend it to just about anyone! It's a very, very high quality adventure game and the best I've played for quite some time. Lovely game, lovingly made.
