I just downloaded Remedy and Time Stand Still and neither one have any sound. I am using windows 7 64 bit. I have already downloaded the patches but that didnt help. Anyone have any fixes for these games? Can hardly play them with no sound....

Have you tried running them in Compatibility mode and/or as an Administrator?

To run in compatibility mode, right-click the game shortcut, choose Properties, and the Compatibility tab. Choose XP or 2000 from the dropdown box. If you see options for visual themes or advanced text services, turn them off and OK the changes. This only affects how Windows plays that particular game.

To run as an Administrator, right-click the game shortcut and choose "Run As Administrator."

If you installed the game in C:\Program Files, you may have to uninstall it and reinstall it in your "Documents" folder or another folder that Windows isn't overly protective of.

After installing patches, you may have to restart the game for the changes to take effect, depending on the patch.

Definitely try all Jenny's suggestions. I tested both these games for Mikael Nyqvist after he rewrote code to enable them to run on 64- bit Windows 7. As I always do, I allowed the games to install where they wanted to and both games ran perfectly with no tweaks or changes needed.

Hopefully one of Jenny's suggestions will work.

I already tried all those, still no sound.....maybe bfg doesnt have the new versions of these games that were rewritten for win 7....
