I don't know if I have come to the right people, but I have am inquiring whether there is a patch available to let me install URU CC on vista? I hope someone can help me.

Hi Kingpin, to GameBoomers. I'll move this thread across to our Glitches forum, where the folks there will be able to advise on getting the game working for you on Vista.

There are no patches for Uru: Complete Chronicles and there aren't likely to be any. Uru: Complete Chronicles was the patched version of Uru: Ages Beyond Myst plus the two addon packs, To D'Ni and Path of the Shell.

There are suggestions on getting Uru working ***here*** in Ubisoft's Uru forum.

Be sure you install the game from an account with Administrator privileges, and install into your User's Documents folder -- not into C:\Program Files. You may need to change the Setup program on the disc to Compatibility mode for Windows 2000 or XP before installing the game.

If you'd tell us more about exactly what problem you're having, we might have more ideas about how to solve it.

thanks for replying, the problem I have got is that every time I try to install URU CC I get a window on the screen that says-

Director Player Error

Script Error. Continue?

Yes / No


If I click Yes, as soon as I put the cursor over the install command, I get the same window.

I hope that may be you can give me some hints as to what I can do.

One thing you could try would be to do a "clean boot" before installing the game. It could be that a background program is conflicting with the game install. Instructions for doing a clean boot in Vista are found here
