It appears this game also has no sound in windows 7. Is there a fix like there was for time stand still? I already tried the patch but it didnt help....

That's right. I helped Mikael test his new versions of the first three games on Windows 7 a couple of years ago. His updates worked perfectly on Windows 7 including the sound.

The sound issues are due to some on line stores not having updated their versions of the 3 first Carol Reed games since Window 7 came out. I've done what I can to make them upload the latest versions.
The issue also appears in disc versions sold before Win 7 came out.
The patches on the site is for Vista only. The Win 7 problem can not be solved with a patch, but needs full new versions of the games.
If you encounter this problem, contact me, and we'll fix you up with a working version of the game of games in question. Thanks Mikael, I really appreciate you taking the time to address this issue and thanks for fixing this problem for me...

@ GrandmaG Did you download Hope Springs Eternal from The Adventure Shop? Sorry to hear about your troubles with this game, which email did you use? If you look at this picture, you can see there's a contact us option in the lower right hand corner. I just clicked the contact us link and it took me to send an email to Mikael from MDNA games. And Mikael who is also posting in this thead is a game developer that looks after his customers...which, I think, is great

GrandmaG, Choose one of the email links on the MDNA website that are for one of the newer games. I've noticed that the email links for some of the older games, like Hope Springs Eternal, are different from those for newer games, like ***Amber's Blood*** or ***Blue Madonna***.
