Whether this is peculiar to me or not, I don't know, but I've had intermittent problems getting on the site today. Twice, it took over two minutes to load, how much over I don't know because I gave up each time.
It's not my cookies, I dump them with obsessive regularity. Nor a huge history of visited pages. Just thought I'd mention it in case anyone else has noticed the same thing.

That happened to me also. It took about a minute for the page to load. I thought it was going to time out on me.

I see there were some posts during the time I was unable to access the site, namely all morning. It's now almost 2:30 and the site has finally come up with something other than a blank white page.
I cannot imagine I'm the only one that's having this problem recur but I don't have any idea what is causing it. It's either me or Memorex.

Been happening off and on since this morning. Seems to have stabilized now. Seems to have been a GB server problem.

Me too,something about a server error,the message was. At least 5-6 hours,I was trying to access the site.  
I change all my passwords to "incorrect". So whenever I forget, it says, "your password is incorrect".

It's Memorex, Gil.  Well, that's a relief. The site hasn't been doing too well for me since the last time the IT guy was working on it but today it's bouncing up. If you've found the secret of rejuvenation, give! Gil.

So, what's wrong with the forum? Is it the software itself? Virus attack or any other attack on the server? Complicated updates? Btw - who manage the Gameboomers twitter account? It's been silent for a while now - maybe when forum goes down a little update on twitter would be nice
