A smooth sea never made a skilled mariner. - English proverb************** While watching a a movie recently recently, a man couldn't hear the dialogue over the chatter of the two women sitting in front of him. Unable to bear it any longer, he tapped one of them on the shoulder. "Excuse me," he said, "I can't hear." "I should hope not," one woman replied sharply. "This is a private conversation." ****************** "DOC, YOU'VE GOT to help my husband," a farmer's wife said frantically. "He thinks he's a racehorse. He wants to live in a stable; he walks on all fours and he even eats hay." "I'm sure I can cure him," the doctor replied, "but it'll be very costly." "Oh, money's no object," she responded. "He's already won two races." ****************** A guy bought his wife a beautiful diamond ring for Christmas. After hearing about this extravagant gift, a friend of his said, “I thought she wanted one of those sporty four-wheel-drive vehicles.” “She did,” he replied. “But where was I going to find a fake Jeep?” **************** Dear John, I have been unable to sleep since I broke off our engagement. Won’t you forgive and forget? Your absence is breaking my heart. I was a fool – nobody can take your place. I love you. All my love, Belinda. P.S. Congratulations on winning this week’s lottery. ****************** Good morning everyone. Joe lost his internet so I'm filling in for the night. He has an early day again so hopefully he'll be able to join us when he gets off work. I am going to the taping of Chicago's Best today with Sam. They are filming at my favorite restaurant and we were invited to be a diner while they are filming. Other than that, I will be in the corner. Have a happy day! JoeAna

Good morning everyone. We have entered our last day of beautiful weather. It is supposed to rain this afternoon and tonight, then turn cold. Okay, I'm ready for spring. Took Cory for his walk this morning and hopefully we can take him again between rain drops this evening. One week from today, Ginny moves back into her house. Contractor has been working to get it all set up for handicap. A neighbor and I are going to get welcome home signs, banners and balloons at her house. Can't wait to have her back. I'm gonna go get some coffee then play some Barrow Hill. Haven't played it in about 5 years. Have a great day everyone. Bets

As we all know the best laid plans sometimes don't happen. Hubby was not feeling well this morning and I took him to the emergency room. He is feeling much better but we will be here for the morning so I canceled my lunch with Sam.
Catch you all later! Hope your day is going well.

Your 'filming' sounds fun Joe! I accidently got into a TV commercial when they filmed at one of my favorite steak houses. We were 'regulars' and sat in the booth directly behind the 'older' regulars when they made the ad. Was fun to watch it when it came on our stations. Hope YOU get into the act too!
Very quiet around here. No big machines making noise, but they managed to get all the 'hot' wires from the new phone poles to the houses all done yesterday! They are sure working fast. Never seen any project go that smoothly. Today I think they cut off the tops of the old poles and then that crew is done. Then the cable, phone, etc come and move their stuff to the new poles, and then the old poles come out. THEN they start tearing up the road for the sidewalks. I am watching the big block fences to see when they are yanked out. Gonna be a big mess for the homeowners.
Gal across the street and 3 houses down showed up with a major crunched car. Ohhhh. Now I know whose car it is. Hard to tell because they park several houses away some times. She was telling her family that 'it isn't very bad, just a little ding on the back bumper'. Wellll if they came to the street side, they would see the entire left side of the car from front to back demolished. Can't figure out how she did it, but had to be a hit from behind that then spun her and she sideswiped something white. Really bad body damage, but drivable. Old car, 70's by the looks so probably not worth repairing. Same house that had a car whammed right in front last year by a drunk driver. Totaled that one. Can't tell if it's the same gal. If so, very bad luck for her.
Computer keeps having 'serious error' on start up and sometimes locks during use. Gonna try to find which program is causing the 'system dump' and fix it today. It's my project.

Ahhh Ana, I'm sorry. I'm glad hubby is improving. Cailyn, thanks for the coffee. It is very much appreciated. Haroula, how was your day? Venus Connie, stay dry. How is everyone feeling? Gail, how are you feeling? Happy dog walking. Do you suppose the dogs say to each other, "Let's go walk the human?" Happy skooshing, Darlene Bets, what a fun homecoming for Ginny MaG Nan, snow I saw on this morning's news that Colorado was getting a good downfall. It was blowing on a 45 degree angle and of course, the guy was standing out in it. Stay warm. Sorta, give the computer a stern warning and if it doesn't listen, whack it. It won't help but you'll feel better. I hope you get it running smoothly soonest!

Hello everybody. I'm here............for the moment. I could not get on line this morning before work. Don't know how long I'll have service. It just seems like I may have trouble trying to get the Dish people out here while I can be here. Thank you very much JoeAna for having my back. Now I have to get off line and go to Mom's. Hopefully will be able to get here when I get back. Keep your fingers crossed, ok? Catch y'all later. joe

L4L, I love your solution to my computer hiccups! AND while I was typing this note, it did it again. Must have heard you. So I banged on the blank screen and on the base unit and it restarted again. Ugh. Off to do the CC cleaner and see if it helps.
OH road crew hit a GAS line today. You could hear the hissing halfway down the block. Got near it on the sidewalk and one of the Utility guys stopped us and escorted friend and I to the other side of the street. Worker took my hand and led me across some nasty chopped up road. How sweet was that? Awwwww. They got the gas off finally after about an hour of digging and now are fixing the problem. Slowed down the road asphalt a bit, but they kept working down the block. Should be done by tomorrow I think.

Ok, I got back home, ate dinner, showered, and started up the old laptop. As soon as I tried to get on line it said "unable to connect". Tried again and got here, so I'm off to post for tomorrow. I have to be at work at 5:00 again tomorrow and then at 1:30 I have to be down in Texas to see the POD people. I have to go to Bonham to the VA Hospital to see at Podiatrist, and get help for my feets. If they don't give me some major help, I don't know what will happen because I now limp pretty severely at work. Have a nice evening everyone. joe

Ah Joe, sore feet are so not a wonderful thing. I hope they have a solution for you. Soot takes neurotin full time and has found that the only shoes he can wear are crocks...so he does. Off for dinner and most likely an early bed time. My back is screaming...It did not enjoy the cleaning that went on today.
