We laugh a lot. That's for sure. Sure beats the alternative, doesn't it? Betty White, Mark Twain Prize, 2010 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Things Men Say
Find out what men really mean when they say..."I'M GOING FISHING" Means: "I'm going to drink myself dangerously stupid, and stand by a stream with a stick in my hand, while the fish swim by in complete safety." "IT'S A GUY THING" Means: "There is no rational thought pattern connected with it, and you have no chance at all of making it logical". "CAN I HELP WITH DINNER?" Means: "Why isn't it already on the table?" "UH HUH," "SURE, HONEY," OR "YES, DEAR..." Means: Absolutely nothing. It's a conditioned response. "IT WOULD TAKE TOO LONG TO EXPLAIN" Means: "I have no idea how it works." "I WAS LISTENING TO YOU. IT'S JUST THAT I HAVE THINGS ON MY MIND." Means: "I was wondering if that redhead over there is wearing a bra." "TAKE A BREAK HONEY, YOU'RE WORKING TOO HARD". Means: "I can't hear the game over the vacuum cleaner." "THAT'S INTERESTING, DEAR." Means: "Are you still talking?" "YOU KNOW HOW BAD MY MEMORY IS." Means: "I remember the theme song to 'F Troop', the address of the first girl I ever kissed, and the vehicle identification numbers of every car I've ever owned, but I forgot your birthday." "I WAS JUST THINKING ABOUT YOU, AND GOT YOU THESE ROSES". Means: "The girl selling them on the corner had great boobs." "OH, DON'T FUSS, I JUST CUT MYSELF, IT'S NO BIG DEAL." Means: "I have actually severed a limb, but will bleed to death before I admit that I'm hurt." "HEY, I'VE GOT MY REASONS FOR WHAT I'M DOING". Means: "And I sure hope I think of some pretty soon." "I CAN'T FIND IT." Means: "It didn't fall into my outstretched hands, so I'm completely clueless." "WHAT DID I DO THIS TIME?" Means: "What did you catch me at?" "I HEARD YOU." Means: "I haven't the foggiest clue what you just said, and am hoping desperately that I can fake it well enough so that you don't spend the next three days yelling at me." "YOU KNOW I COULD NEVER LOVE ANYONE ELSE" Means: "I am used to the way you yell at me, and realize it could be worse." "YOU LOOK TERRIFIC" Means: "Please don't try on one more outfit, I'm starving." "I'M NOT LOST. I KNOW EXACTLY WHERE WE ARE." Means: "No one will ever see us alive again." Happy Valentine's Day, everyone. I'm off for a work whoosh, as I'm running late. Hope everyone has a great day.

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone. Warming up to the 50's today, but windy. Well, I guess I gotta get off my duff and do something around here. It's much too easy to sit here and type or play. Once I get motivated, I might get something done. My oven needs cleaning, the house needs dusting. <sigh> Oh well, no one else is going to do it. Do I hear volunteers? Okay, finished my coffee, I'm gone. Bets

Happy Valentine's Day ya'll Hubby left me a beautiful card along with hot water in my thermos for my coffee so I don't have to wait on refills. And God sent us sun today So we are all set! Joe, Baby will most likely be herself in a couple of days. It can take awhile to get all the anesthesia cleared from a dog's system. They often whine and don't eat etc til that all clears out. I hope she is herself soon. Time for breakfast. Back in a bit

Happy Valentine's Day to all!
Not sure what fun I will have today, but yesterday, finally, my sister came down (she's visiting her daughter since Thanksgiving) and brought daughter with her and we spent a good portion of the day shopping and laughing and eating. Was a good day. Finally got my 'birthday' recognized. I think after all the hints, she finally remembered. Even got the date right when she mentioned it. Nice.
My neice and her hubby had the 'lap band' procedure and each has lost a significant amount of weight. Wow! She's looking good. Very different from when I saw her last year.
I'm on sugar overload right now. They brought a cranberry, orange, cornmeal cake (frozen so I haven't tasted it yet), 12 awesome neopolitan cupcakes, and a dozen huge blueberry doughnuts for my B'day. I cannot possible eat them ALL. Hoping my neighbors will help out.
Interesting Apartment and empty house news but I'm too tired to tell it all now. Later...

Good morning boomies! Busy day today. I'll be in the corner and also need to do an emergency mall run for son as the dry cleaners got holes in two of his work shirts this week. He needs more and he is so hard to fit with his wide shoulders and tiny waist.
Hope you all are having a great day!

Hi Sorta, I want to be your neighbor and help with sugar overload,oh yeah. Several years ago I gave up sugar for Lent and talk about torture but I persisted and now sweets don't bother me however to do a friend a favor I could help you out. I miss it most in coffee. Also I lost 56 pounds and was actually too thin. How are the kits and wildlife.
Lovely sunny day but cold tonight again. Should have done groceries today but maybe tomorrow....who knows. As long as the some pet food remins, no hurry.
I'm looking for a good action game for the PC -any suggestions. Halo 1 would do but it's pretty old they are up to Halo 5 now.
Happy Valentines all

Hi Yankee. You can have as many doughnuts as you want. Oh they are soooo good. I've eaten 3 so far in 2 days. Want to get them while they are fresh. Sigh.
As for kitties and other critters, juvenile raccoons are waltzing in a few nights a week to raid the dry food feeder. I only put a tiny bit in now so the outdoorsies can eat and when the racs binge, there won't be a huge loss of food.
I moved one of the kitty tents next to the original one (cats weren't going in as much as I wanted) so now darn it, the mom and kitten (ha, 3 years old I think now) are hogging the OLD kitties tent instead of their own. Darn them. I have to scare them out and lift old Spot into HER tent for the night. She's not a fighter so she just waits. I don't think I can easily cure this overtaking. At least I know Spot is warm and cozy all night even without her long time partner Stripey who died a few weeks back of old age. Soon Spot will follow since she and the other were about the same and probably is 15 or more now herself.
Other than that, life is happy around here. Lots of food for kitties since some of the oldies died off. Only one left inside (Bubba) and he's going on 14 I think. Wow. Time flies. Love my critters.

L4L, thanks for the headsup! How creative! Nan, hope you feel better. Peter is under the weather too. I just made a huge 12 quart pot of chicken soup. I have to say it's my best ever. I also made brown and black rice top go with it. He will be very happy when he get home from a busy day at work and sees it. I am back to the corner until sometime tomorrow....I'll come up for air.

Hello Boomies. TGTF!! I'm ready for my weekend. Today was one gorgeous day and I really wanted to go head hunt after work, but I didn't. Baby met me at the door very excited to see me, but still not wanting to go romping through the woods. Thanks to everyone for the Baby wishes. I over slept this morning because I forgot to turn my alarm on. There's nothing like the rush you get when you look at the clock and realize that you're 40 minutes late getting up. Good thing I get up an hour and a half early. Tomorrow it's 5:00 to 1:00. Woo Hoo! Can't wait. Have a nice evening everyone. joe
