has anyone heard of this? pcfixspeed it came with google chrome when i downloaded it and wonder if its something i need to get rid of

You beat me to it, Bristol. Watch those downloads, even Chrome, for what they call "foistware." Make sure you UNCHECK all those little boxes with other software that will be downloaded.

what about wajam?

Never heard of it, but when I looked it up found it is a "social search engine" and is considered junk if not outright malware. I found one mention of it hijacking someone's home page. Hopefully, you can just uninstall it.
