BubbaJake,
You don't need to burn the GOG 'downloader'. It will install games for you but you only need it to download games much more quickly than you could in your browser.
Get yourself some DVD-R 4.7 GB disks since they'll handle practically any adventure game and put one in your computer. I'm going to assume you have Windows 7, which has a disk burner built in. Go to the game you want to burn and select it. If you want to put the extra goodies on the disk (the manual, soundtrack, etc.), check them, too. Then in the bar above select Burn and just follow the instructions. It's really not hard at all.
Gil.

The first time I tried to "burn a game to disk", many years ago, I didn't realise that I had to burn the downloaded setup files (etc) exactly as they were when they arrived - that is BEFORE I opened any of them. I had to come here to Gameboomers for help. Otherwise I would never have fathomed out how to get a playable game !!

Dumb me, I should have said just what Mad did, BubbaJake. You burn the setup files you downloaded from GOG, not the game files after installation. In other words, you burn those files with .exe and .bin (if any) after them that you see in the game file once it is in your GOG downloads folder.
