Pilot Checklist

After every flight, pilots fill out a form, called a gripe sheet which tells mechanics about problems with the aircraft. The mechanics correct the problems, document their repairs on the form, and then pilots review the gripe sheets before the next flight. Never let it be said that ground crews lack a sense of humor. Here are some maintenance complaints submitted by pilots and the solutions recorded by maintenance engineers. By the way, the airline these came from is the only major airline that has never, ever, had an accident.

Pilot: Left inside main tire almost needs replacement.
Engineers: Almost replaced left inside main tire.

Pilot: Test flight OK, except auto-land very rough.
Engineers: Auto-land not installed on this aircraft.

Pilot: Something loose in cockpit.
Engineers: Something tightened in cockpit.

Pilot: Dead bugs on windshield.
Engineers: Live bugs on back-order.

Pilot: Autopilot in altitude-hold mode produces a 200 feet per minute descent.
Engineers: Cannot reproduce problem on ground.

Pilot: Evidence of leak on right main landing gear.
Engineers: Evidence removed.

Pilot: DME volume unbelievably loud.
Engineers: DME volume set to more believable level.

Pilot: Friction locks cause throttle levers to stick.
Engineers: That's what friction locks are for.

Pilot: IFF inoperative in OFF mode.
Engineers: IFF always inoperative in OFF mode.

Pilot: Suspected crack in windshield.
Engineers: Suspect you're right.

Pilot: Number 3 engine missing.
Engineers: Engine found on right wing after brief search.

Pilot: Aircraft handles funny.
Engineers: Aircraft warned to straighten up, fly right, and be serious.

Pilot: Target radar hums.
Engineers: Reprogrammed target radar with lyrics.

Pilot: Mouse in cockpit.
Engineers: Cat installed.

Pilot: Noise coming from under instrument panel. Sounds like a midget pounding on something with a hammer.
Engineers: Took hammer away from midget

Pregnancy Jokes

Q. Should I have a baby after 35?
A. No, 35 children is enough.

Q. When will my baby move?
A. With any luck, right after he finishes high school.

Q. How will I know if my vomiting is morning sickness or the flu?
A. If it's the flu, you'll get better.

Q. Since I became pregnant, my breasts, rear-end, and even my feet have grown. Is there anything that gets smaller during pregnancy?
A. Yes, your bladder.

Q. What is the most common pregnancy craving?
A. For men to be the ones who get pregnant.

Q. What is the most reliable method to determine a baby's sex?
A. Childbirth.

Q. The more pregnant I get, the more often strangers smile at me. Why?
A. 'Cause you're fatter than they are.

Q. My wife is five months pregnant and so moody that sometimes she's borderline irrational.
A. So what's your question?

Q. What's the difference between a nine-month pregnant woman and a model?
A. Nothing, if the pregnant woman's husband knows what's good for him.

Q. How long is the average woman in labor?
A. Whatever she says, divided by two.

Q. My childbirth instructor says it's not pain I'll feel during labor, but pressure. Is she right?
A. Yes, in the same way that a tornado might be called an air current.

Q. When is the best time to get an epidural?
A. Right after you find out you're pregnant.

Q. Is there any reason I have to be in the delivery room while my wife is in labor?
A. Not unless the word "alimony" means anything to you.

Q. What does it mean when the baby's head is crowning?
A. It means you feel as though not only a crown but the entire throne is trying to make its way out of you.

Q. Is there anything I should avoid while recovering from childbirth?
A. Yes, pregnancy.

Q. Does pregnancy cause hemorrhoids?
A. Pregnancy causes anything you want to blame it for.

Q. Where is the best place to store breast milk?
A. In your breasts.

Q. Is there a safe alternative to breast pumps?
A. Yes, baby lips.

Q. What does it mean when a baby is born with teeth?
A. It means that the baby's mother may want to rethink her plans to nurse.

Q. How does one sanitize nipples?
A. Bathe daily and wear a clean bra. It beats boiling them in a saucepan.

Q. What are the terrible twos?
A. Your breasts after baby stops nursing cold turkey.

Q. What is the best time to wean the baby from nursing?
A. When you see teeth marks.

Q. Do I have to have a baby shower?
A. Not if you change the baby's diaper very quickly.

Q. Our baby was born last week. When will my wife begin to feel and act normal again?
A. When the kids are in college.

Prison Or Work

When you think about the differences between work and prison, maybe prison isn't so bad...

IN PRISON.......You spend the majority of your time in an 8x10 cell.
AT WORK........You spend most of your time in a 6x8 cubicle.

IN PRISON.......You get three meals a day.
AT WORK........You get a break for 1 meal and you have to pay for it.

IN PRISON.......You get time off for good behaviour.
AT WORK........You get rewarded for good behaviour with more work.

IN PRISON.......A guard locks and unlocks all the doors for you.
AT WORK........You must carry around a security card and unlock and open all the doors yourself.

IN PRISON........You can watch TV and play games.
AT WORK.........You get fired for watching TV and playing games.

IN PRISON.......You get your own toilet.
AT WORK........You have to share.

IN PRISON.......They allow your family and friends to visit.
AT WORK........You cannot even speak to your family and friends.

IN PRISON.......All expenses are paid by taxpayers with no work required.
AT WORK........You get to pay all the expenses to go to work and then they deduct taxes from you salary to pay for prisoners.

IN PRISON.......You spend most of your life looking through bars from inside wanting to get out.
AT WORK........You spend most of your time wanting to get out and go inside bars.

IN PRISON......There are wardens who are often sadistic.
AT WORK.......They are called supervisors.

IN PRISON.......You have unlimited time to read e-mail jokes.
AT WORK........You get fired if you get caught.

NOW GET BACK TO WORK!!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hey everybody. It's still a good morning. welcome
I'm still worn out, and sleepy as well..........veeeery sleepy. tired
I may have to alleviate this problem by sleeping some. sleep
If I'm not mistaken that should help, and I'll wake up refreshed. wink
I'll let you know if it worked. thumbsup
Good morning Joe, Haroula, Scarlet, Sue, Gerry, Connie, Gail, manxman and all to follow!
Waiting on BIL to arrive to help hubby get the shed up and I'll be working on the yard to eliminate more weeds and make things look presentable. My biggest decision at the moment is whether I want to put wood chips or stones on the weed barrier.
Have a happy day all!
Overcast and cool again. Definitely what they call our 'May Gray'. Finally.
Today's project is to order the marriage certificate from my second guy. Went through everything yesterday, organized, shredded, read a few things. Still have about 2 inches of emails from the 'alimony wars'. Sad stuff but interesting to see how good I was at making him feel he really should honor his committment. Yup. Got every penny HE said he would pay. Not judge ordered, he decided how much it would be and we all agreed. Then he tried to weasel out of it. 3 years of alimony turned into 5 as we negotiated back and forth. He said he was done paying, I reminded him of the law and his 'honor'. Finally got it all sorted and things went ok, except all the paperwork and accounting on my end trying to keep things straight with late payments, no payments, interest added, interest taken off, bounced checks and unsigned checks. Geez! I still have a check I think I could cash if I really wanted to be oh so bad. devil
Off to find some video of our school board member that was on last night's news showing him on his cell phone while driving. One was him actually snapping a picture with it! Imagine the 'not looking at the road' event on that one. Four independent pictures from four people all sent in to the news crew. Should be fun to see. Mr. Perfect isn't so perfect after all.
WARNING! This person is extremely blonde...please type SLOWLY.
Fantastic Friday ya'll puppy
Been a busy morning. Thank goodness hubby called to remind me to feed Missy Spryte. He does that. I never see her as she stays in the cat room (once was our living room) away from the dogs. I'd have remembered her eventually, but glad he called.
Super hot so no walk for the doggies. I'll walk this afternoon when I pick up Per. The boys will play and I will walk but it will be way too hot for the doggies by then. It's way too hot for the doggies by 8 now.
Son just told me he'll be working 18 hour days this weekend, so the boys and I are on our own. wave
Okay, what were they called? At coffee and no one knew what the fluffy/fuzzy little balls were in one of the Star Trek episodes. Everyone on the crew thought they were really cute until they started "hatching" more and more. They finally transported them to a Klingon vessel. Any help out there?
The Tribbles was one of the favorites -good humor. Groceries this morning then Stephen King horror movies all afternoon and that's all there is to post about. Gonna be a great 3 day holiday
Fantastic, now I have to go tell everyone I was wrong. You see, we needed a 4 letter word in the crossword puzzle for a cute, cuddly sci-fi creature, and I was sure it was Tribbles, but that's obviously not a 4 letter word. The answer did turn out to be Ewok. But, then I didn't consider Ewoks to be cuddly... whistle
Back from the park. Came home to find a snake in the back yard. All the dogs but Soot came in when I called them. Soot was a twit....had to trick him in.
Then finally up to cook dinner for the boys, clean up the kitchen, feed the dogs, get my pills and now I'm bound for a bath and bed.
Sweet dreams all sleep
