Dear friends,
I'm having a very annoying problem. Right on the menu and throughout the game, the mouse is sluggish and responds badly. This makes it practically impossible to play the game. Strangely, I didn't have this problem with OS 10.6. But I recently updated the system, and now this problem occurred.
The computer runs modern games perfectly well, so it cannot be a specs issue... I'd appreciate any ideas!
Some info: Processor 2,8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Memory 4 GB 800 MHz DDR2 SDRAM Graphic card ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro 256 MB Software OS X 10.9.2 (13C1021)
Thanks a lot, Tomer

Thanks for the comment. Yeah, it seems to work wonderfully, it's only the mouse that's making problems :(

I'm afraid I tried that. Resolution, graphic options... no help. The game doesn't feel laggy at all, it's just the mouse that keeps not responding.

Tomer have you tried to change your mouse speed in options for the mouse on your Mac? Maybe that would help.

Sorry Tomer. If you are using a wireless mouse sometimes if the battery is not fully charged it will be sluggish and not respond. Try putting in new batteries. Good Luck!

Jenny I was just grasping at straws. I am no techy. It does sound more like the video card. I had that problem with one of the newer Tomb Raider games on my old PC because my video card only met the minimum requirements for the game. Some parts of the game were fine and others were in slow motion and the mouse was sluggish.

Does this give us a hint to a proper solution? Considering it's a Mac, not really. If it were a PC you could try different drivers, possibly older ones, but I haven't seen that option for a Mac. Maybe use Boot Camp or Parallels and play it in Windows (on your Mac) ? Jenny I was just grasping at straws. I am no techy. It does sound more like the video card. It's not even really the video card, since the game worked properly under OS 10.6. I think it's either the drivers or the OS 10.9 itself. Checking the mouse is not a bad idea, and Draclvr suggested it earlier, but Tomer had already said he'd swapped out the mouse with no improvement.
