Got the "First journey".Turn around to jump to the geysher platform below me. Followed instructions on the Walkthrough,but, I just bounce of the platform and into a lower area every time.
Am I missing something?

It's a tricky one ... good that there is a cloth to touch.
If I remember well: aim your direction carefully and start from the back of the platform with run then jump (specebar) and imediately hit the back arrow key as soon as the jump is in progress.

So it can be done once you have the right approach.

Jump from the opposite side of where your from, you can get a better angle at it.....and its a whole lot easier....

So that is why I kept falling off the geyser platform. I didn't stop myself with the back button. Just what the doctor ordered.

Are you running and jumping? Try just walking forward and jumping. As soon as you jump, do you ease off the keys so you don't continue forward when you land?

After jumping with the space bar I hit the back key but it doesn't work. I'm still going to far

Lise, I haven't gotten to that jump yet, but I remember someone suggesting that for certain jumps you should just tap the space bar...

I also try that...and I just jump on place

Lise, I was in that position last night and I'll tell you how I did it. When you are on the small shelf press the journey cloth and then turn around. See another location you can jump to. Its to your left as you face the geyser platform. I did a run/jump to that place. Once there move forward and then turn right and follow the path up to the top. From there you can jump to the geyser platform below. Its easier to do from here. Then you can run/jump back to the same location and continue the game. I hope that works for you.
