This is great!! only trouble is I now have to show my ignorance, I have downloaded the tracks and saved to desktop - so far so good, but I have no idea what to do now. I am using win 7 which has windows media player and I also have ITunes, but I simply don't know where unzip the file so that I can either add it to my I pod or burn to disc, I have investigated the media player (for the first time since I got 7, I must add) but nothing seemed to work. If anyone can help me please give me instructions in words or no more than 2 syllables or I will get lost. I also hope this is the right place to ask as other members seem to have no trouble. praise duh

Hello,
Download a program called 7-zip.Create a folder in Windows Explorer called Carol Reed or something you like, then unzip the files with 7-zip and send them to the new folder. From there you can drag&drop to other things and do anything you want. I think this is what you are asking but I,m not sure.Be sure to only download programs from the creators website.

Thanks Geo, but I know how to unzip, I don't know how to get the file into Windows Media player, despite clicking anything and everything both left and right I can't seem to achieve it, I know as always it will be something stupid I am doing but I have hit a brick wall and need a way out (or into it ) as the case may be hardwall

I didn't do anything special to get it in there. I just opened Windows Media Player and found it under Music/Album.

I don't know where you normally keep music files on your computer, but you could try moving the unzipped files to the Music folder on your computer. If you've put other files there, Windows Media Player may look there automatically when you open it. Default location of the folder is
C:\Users\(user-name)\Music

It sounds like you opened Windows Media Player and expected it to magically find your new music files even though they weren't in a location Windows Media Player normally looks. You need to browse to the location where the files are located.

You should be able to open the files from anywhere though -- provided you've extracted them (if they were compressed) and that they're in a format supported by Windows Media Player.

Thank you everyone for your answers, I think some of my problems may be with I tunes, I extracted the files (unzipped) and sent to windows media, where it is but I can't access it, so I dragged it into I tunes where it sits in a separate folder within I tunes so again I can't access it, the only way out of it as far as I can see at present is to burn it to a cd and then load it into I tunes which is very long winded but I can't think of another way. think insane

I find Media Player a bit cumbersome myself. Navigating for music on the computer could be done a lot easier IMHO. If you're not seeing the soundtrack files in Media Player you can add the directory by pressing F3, while in Media Player, and adding the location. Once you have you should be able to access them.

Did you ever stop to think and then forget to start again?

Well now I am confused, but thank you so much Cue, I read your message and went into I tunes, couldn't quite remember what you had said but remembered f3 so I pressed it and voila there was all the Carol Reed tunes!! and re reading what you said you told me to go into Media player........ Again I think it is something to do with I tunes hi jacking Media player - or again it could just be me which it invariably is. Once again THANK YOU thanks praise
