I am writing up a walkthrough of the game for Gameboomers. I have just arrived at the Merari Palace and I have spoken with Getry.

I have some things to do, but I will come back later and play some more. The walkthrough has been written up to where I am now.

Mike, yeh, it frustrates me that much. LOL.
I've put a ton of miles on that jetpack this morning, but I still haven't found anything.
I think we're just going to have to wait for Manxman.

Finally solved the map room.

When the right combo of buttons is pressed for each item in the case, it will show you which map to press. Each map needs to be pressed in the correct order as shown by the kids game board.
That's Gem, knife, cup, helmet, lute? and coin.

The combos are
Gem 3322123
Lute 11332
Coin 3123
Helmet 22132
Cup ?
Knife ?

Knowing the 4 maps you can guess which the other 2 are. The correct order is:

Facing the first map as you enter and look down, that will be map #1. Going around the pillar anticlockwise, press maps 3,6,5,2,4,1

I started this game last night but I think I caught up fairly fast.
The Map puzzle...standing in front of the door in the middle of the maps count clockwise to map 5 (count map at your feet as the first). That is the Gem map and to be pushed first, count clockwise count of 2 is the knife map and pushed second, count clockwise 3 to the glass map and push, count clockwise 6 to the helmet map and push, count clockwise 4 to the harp map and push. Last is the shield map at your feet.

Cup = 1231232

Just for kicks, I want to figure out the dagger combo to get the map.

Hi, I'm back. Been at work all day unfortunately. Good to see the group has expanded. Kim, where are you? jj7,sorry I wasn't there to help with the map puzzle. It is related to the merick game with the kid at the market. I think that the buttons just roll the dice and doesn't really matter what order you press them. Just keep pressing until you 'win' and the object turns around revealing a map. If you do it in order of the game ( gem, knife, goblet, helmet, mandolin?, coin) and click on the appropriate map as it shows up then the door in the middle opens. Have you gone down and collected the dripping bacteria at the end of the tunnel past the water? It is there we hear that we need Putak (where is he). Then we can save Althera (probably) as "we can see evil but it can't see us".

Btw, I think that is a lyre, but I could be wrong (the lute/mandolin instrument you are calling).

Welcome home from work Manxman, somebodys got to keep the economy going. I managed to work out the map puzzzle (see above). I've activated 2 new portals, and now I'm stuck again. I know where Putak is, and I know how to get to him, I just can't work out how!

Any hints on where Putak is and how to get the causeway portals?

hmm, odd. I have taken screens of all 6 maps shown in the display cases and some of them do not coincide with those on the ground.

I will have to mess with this tomorrow. I am going out for the evening.

Have you figured out what that 'elevator' is all about at the place where Althera is captive?

Manxman I think all will be clear once we find the nehli guy. I reckon he's going to make us invisible so we can get past the guards and explore that area fuller. Have you rescued the girl yet?

No I have not,have you. Don't we need to find Putak first to make us invisible?

Manxman, yes, I've freed her. Take the vase and go to the desert house. Trap the green lizard by the gate, and click the vase on him to get some venom. Take that through the portal and put it on the door.

Ok did that. I was waiting for him to come out and then I would have thrown the venom on him. Of course it should have been more devious than that.

I'm stumped again. No idea how to get Putak out of the tree. Anybody got a shotgun?

Don't we need a cracklenut? And do you know which tree he is in?

I think so. He's in the centre of the Nahli tree where the cracklenut shell was found according to a couple of ingame pics I have.
