The game box lists Windows 95/98/ME but try with XP compatibility anyway.
The checkbox for "disable display scaling on high DPI settings" can also help with some games.
I'm not really sure how to run this one on modern Windows.
pcgamingwiki says it has "unresolved issues" with 3D models being invisible (maybe that's what the ddraw fix is for?)
https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Gold_and_Glory:_The_Road_to_El_Doradobut WineHQ says the game runs in wine on Linux
https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=2564I don't have Windows 10 so can't test the game on it.
The game might work inside VMware Player, since the box only mentions a 2D graphics card as a minimum requirement ("8mb 2D Graphics Card capable of 640x480 and 32-bit Color").
