Hi guys,

Describe the most beautiful scenery you saw in a game May contain spoilers:

Here’s mine :

Syberia 2

Kate’s walking in the wood, trees and the ground is cover with snow, It’s snowing, on her right side you're able to see the river flowing and footstep on the ground, not far in front of you, you’re able to see falls.

Dany, that was a wonderful scene wasn't it--Syberia had many such scenes as that--sometimes I would just walk around and enjoy it without worrying about the game--i also Loved that Cabin--I could sooooo live there!!

Mysterious Journey 1 had a beautiful sunset scene--red and purple sky with balloons floating in it---I would go just stand there and watch--it had many such beautiful scenes-- laugh

Hi guys,

You're right about Syberia looney4labs, the landscapes were remarkable in Syberia 2, It took me more hours to play it, I watched everything, sometime several times.

I didn't play the Schizm games yet, I was unable to play them on my old putor but now I have a remarkable putor with a wonderful graphic card, Schizm 1 and 2 is among the games I will play this year.

JKEerie, don't you have a favorite scene!!!

Actually, the very one you mentioned DB! I recall thinking that I could just reach into the screen and grab a handful of glistening, powdery snow!

I also loved the scene with the penguins! Go figure!

I really liked alot of scenery in Uru. One of my favorite places was the spanish ladies estate in Broken sword, the ocean backdrop and the manicured gardens. I always thought that would be a place I would like to spend some time.

Hi guys,

looney4labs,I forgot to say, yes the cabin was wonderful and I also wished that I could live their but it's difficult to enjoy your backyard when a bear is stealing food on the B.B.Q and it would have been fun if Kate's had made a snowman or an angel in the snow!!!

JKEerie, you're right, the scene with the penguins was great also.

TC this look like an interesting place to be.

Danyboy--I forgot about Amerzone--I loved just walking around in the woods there---and flying over the mountains--too cool!

If you have not bought them yet, get Schizm on DVD--I understand the graphics are much better---

laugh I loved the scene at the very end of Syberia 1 where Kate goes off in the midst of whirling snow on the train.

I too especially liked the frozen north scenes in Syberia 2 with the penguins-a great game to play in the summer if you live in Florida!

I loved the floating baloon-islands in Schizm, and the scenery while riding in the fantastic fish baloon thumbsup

The Syberia games are the best for beautiful games. I also liked the scene in a game I can't remember. It is a monk riding on a white horse across the water. Graphics are a little outdated but the scene was great.

Hi guys,

looney4labs, you're right the forest was wonderful in Amerzone. Yes I already bought the 2 Schizm, I'm a compulsive game buyer.

Nice choices everyone.

JKEerie, you will love Quebec, it's such a beautiful place, I went their few times and enjoyed my vacations, It's a bit expensive when you're in the touristic zone but with your American $ that wont be so bad. Enjoy your conference and try to visit Old Quebec if you can!!!

Danyboy for me the most beautiful scenes were also the snowy ones in Syberia! It was so peaceful and beautiful! I hope some day there will be a Syberia 3 for all of us to enjoy! wave

I don't know about the Prettiest, but the most intense and gripping scenes were in American McGee's Alice. The graphics in the game were phenomenal for the time..and they STILL are!! Maybe it's because that was the very first game I played with a top of the line 3-D graphics card--but I have to say, I still go back and am awed by it!

Hi guys,

ShadowinmyRoom and Kaki's sister, Thank you for the replies, almost everyone agreed that The snow part of Syberia was wonderful.

Kaki's sister, it's sad to say that there wont be a Syberia 3, but we have the next game of Benoit Sokal, Lost Paradise, graphics are superb, it will be in store this year if I my memory isn't failing.

I'm thinking of these:
Myst 4:Tomahna by night(just watch the leaves of the bushes moving-amazing)
Myst 4:Spire(the clouds underneath and the stars above-thrilling)
The longest journey:the world under the water
Grim Fandango:year1 outside in the city,at the flea market with the baloons and stuff.

I WANNA PLAY THE NEXT TLJ!!!!!!!

Some memorable ones for me are the beach scene with the sunners in Riven, the white horse scene in Ireland in Beyond Atlantis, the rapidly changing day/night cycle in the Selenic Age in Real Myst, the view of the island across the water in Serenia in Revelation, and the scene at the bridge in Shangri-La in JP 3: Legacy of Time. I can think of dozens of others, but I'll stop here. smile

Gosh, those were all pretty, and there are so many more! I think the scene I remember as prettiest to me in an adventure game, was floating on the river past all the color in The Sacred Amulet.
For the prettiest game of all genres, I think it would have to be Morrowind - incredible skies!

The night time scene in the garden village in Mysterious Journey 2. The stars are out and the sky is a dark, midnight blue; the trees have leaves that look like they've been lit with an inner fire; the doorways all have a lit flower. The whole world looks like a fairy land. :sigh: Sometimes I run that scene again and again just to stare at it.

i loved Riven..especially the island w/the lagoon and sunners...wonderful water in that game..(i keep it loaded so i can go to the beach for a mini vacation anytime i want!), also Myst IV-Tomahna and Serenia. The scenery in Riddle of the Sphinx and after you get thru the river and at the Temple is awesome! Also thought Syberia 1 was great! just started Syberia 2 and so far great graphics, but nothing really 'grabs' me. In syberia 1 i was hooked right at the beginning w/the funeral! also have started Aura and enjoy graphics very much. Shivers (1) an older game was good too, very crisp and easy to see. Also Zork: Grand Inquisitor had wonderful scenery AND for nice creepy scenery Wheel of Time and Undying!! i would like to mention as well, i am playing Lights Out and the sound effects in this game are awesome (graphics too)! you can almost smell the salt air and feel the water and see the gulls! Excellent..you could almost stop the game at some points and leave the sound UP and go somewhere else in your house and feel you are on the shore somewhere!!and i really enjoy the fog .very nicely done!!
