That's interesting, Ana - I thought we would be waiting until November for the new MCF. I am certainly looking forward to it, whenever it shows up. yes

lol I am with you, oldbroad. I just don't care for them anymore since they aren't developing them in house.

Thanks, Marian! I scrolled through the beta videos and can't find and Rube Goldberg puzzles so I'll pass. There would have to be some glowing reviews for me to buy it.

Someone on Facebook described some "door puzzles" in the game, which I believe amounts to the same thing as Rube Goldberg ones. Pretty sure I am remembering this comment correctly. I have seen people call these "door puzzles" before, when there are multiple steps that involve experimentation in order to achieve an objective.

How many of these there will be, I of course have no idea. smile

I think they were called "door puzzles" back around the time the first Ravenhearst game was released, because solving them would open the door to the next area.
Now I usually see them called "super puzzles."

Yes, Jenny, I think you are right about the origin of "door puzzles." smile

If there was not one hidden object puzzle in the new MCF game I may start to buy back into the franchise.

Here's a link to a preview on All About Casual Games: Mystery Case Files 19 preview

One of the screen shots looks like the Rube Goldberg puzzle we all like.

I use that site, All About Casual Games, to check out reviews on games before I purchase. If I see a game has different, creative and challenging puzzles, that's a definite buy. Too many of the casual games are "cookie cutter." I don't want to keep playing the same game with merely a different title.

Hi, Marian!

I beta tested this one and really enjoyed it. Since BFG had a sale on MCF games recently, I figured we wouldn't have to wait too long before it was released. In case there aren't any good sales, I have 2 Game Club credits just waiting to be used happydance !

Yes, I like it, JKEerie. I don't necessarily always agree with the reviews, but I enjoy looking at the screenshots and reading over the review. I have found that the reviewer generally states how long it took to play the game, which I also appreciate. Even though I know that playtime estimates can vary, it's good for getting an idea of what it is like. smile
