Hello

This is one of those game that I got stuck on an abandoned several years ago! Now that I'm 'social distancing' and have time , I tried to go back to it.
I'm at the puzzle where Holmes is at the board, trying to determine the precise time of the death of Annie Chapman. In looking at the walk through it appears where I left the game the puzzle has been solved, everything seems to be in the right place , and all items are bordered in green . What now? According to the walk through Holmes says he wants a board. I don't hear him say anything, and clicking on the board to the left of the door does nothing. Am I missing something obvious? If I can't proceed, and frankly since it's been so long, I've lost track of the story I may abandon this game entirely.

Thanks for any help.

Looking at the walkthrough I see this
September 11, 1888

Baker St. 6:21 PM

Holmes has been in his room for a while.

Click on the green smelly glass shard of Finley's tenant on the worktable of Holmes. Holmes comes out of his room and says that it contained formalin.

Read Reports to learn what Holmes observed about the murder of Annie Chapman.

So did you click on the smelly glass shard?
Did you read the Reports?

If so it looks like you play as Watson next.

He might want a board and you find that opposite of his work bench on the other wall. You have to fill in the blanks about if it was cannibalism, black magic, and stuff like that. i think that might be what is hanging you up. Hopefully!
