I would recommend taking a look at the walkthrough here and reading it over carefully to see what you might have missed at the cafe or elsewhere.

Sorry, deleterman, I haven't played this one. Did you go through the walkthrough to be sure you haven't missed something?

The walkthrough says to take the plaster of paris from the sack on the table - did you try that?

And after you went down the ladder, did you examine the panel and the five holes in the wall?

There are a great many parts to this video walkthrough, so you will need to figure out which part of the walkthrough to watch - the walkthrough is in 19 parts. I think this is the best solution for you being as I can't know everything that you have done/haven't done in the game.

You can find the video walkthrough here.

Congratulations on finishing the game. I play mostly hidden object puzzle adventure games from Big Fish these days rather than straight adventure games.

I enjoy the fact that if I come across a difficult puzzle, I can use the skip button if it starts to frustrate me. I've been stuck in adventure games plenty of times and there is a point at which it starts to feel more like work than fun. So, I often find that casual games are a more relaxing pastime for me.

I agree with Marian. Sometimes I'm in the mood for something with difficult puzzles, but usually a good casual game with a skip button is much more fun, relaxing and enjoyable.
