I was disappointed in the ending of Adam Wolfe too.

Does that Black Veil glitch affect everybody? I have played some of it, but I don't remember if I ever finished it.

I agree with Mad about Legacy Of Time. It is one of my favorite games of all time. I think I remember that GOG made some tweaks that allowed it to work on Win 7 where earlier versions had problems. I think I might go for another replay too.

Uncle Reg and Mad, I will look forward to playing Legacy of Time! And lengthy intros are fine by me. smile

Also, I know of several people who played Black Veil with no issues, Uncle Reg.

I played MCF: The Black Veil last year but can't remember it at all.

I'm glad you enjoyed Adam Wolfe mostly all the way to the end Mad.

I have the Journeyman games from GOG (not played, of course).

I am in the middle of Amaranthine Voyage 7: Legacy of the Guardians and have been enjoying it so far. I'm also playing 100 Doors Game - Escape from School (free from Steam) when I feel like playing but not really playing.

Yes. Sorry !! I should have said it wasn't a glitch that affected lots of people. Thanks for clarifying that, Marian 🙂

OldBroad, I'm replaying an Amaranthine game, too. The Tree of Life. Great mini-games, unusual concepts, tricky, head-scratchers. I've played 8 in that series, and think Winter Neverending is the best, but this one is darned good, too.

The Tree of Life is the first game. I liked that one too, as well as Winter Neverending, the 6th game. There were a couple in the middle there I didn't like as much though.

Having eventually finished Baba Is You and Stephen's Sausage Roll I was casting around for another simple (at first) puzzle game and stumbled across A Monster's Expedition: you have to fell trees by kicking them over to make bridges and rafts to travel between islands, and on some of the islands you (as a monster) find (now extinct) human exhibits with groan-inducing captions - available on Steam and in Apple Arcade (where I am currently playing it during a one month free trial).

I was also amused to google Amaranthine on the basis of the comments in posts above and find that it is also the name of a side scrolling space shooter which I will probably try if I can find an Apple compatible version (looks a bit like R-Type). catrub

Although I should add that it might not be suitable for those folk who suffer from motion sickness - but I don't think you do, Marian ??

I am replaying Secrets of the Dark: Eclipse Mountain and enjoying it every bit as much as the first time. This series is among my favorites because of the high quality of the graphics and the difficulty and originality of the puzzles and mini-games. I'm going to reload SOTD: Flower of Shadow as soon as I finish this game, and SOTD: Ancestral Estate as soon as I finish that one. joy

No, happily I have not experienced motion sickness with games, Mad. smile

The Secrets of the Dark series is excellent, Reenie! I replayed Secrets of the Dark: Temple of Night in the last few months.

I have four of the Secrets of the Dark series. But I'm not sure I've actually played all of them yet. And there's probably more been released by now smile

Mad, I wish I could find out if there were more in this series. I tried the BF search engine, but it doesn't search by title, only by individual word, so all you get is a lot of irrelevant titles. I opened their page that lists all games and found it redesigned and harder to scroll through, but what I noticed was one of the four games I own no longer is listed. There are only three listed now.

Reenie, are you talking about the Secrets of the Dark games? If so, there are indeed four of them, and they are all listed on this page.

I have found that the listings are not always consistent, but I can usually find what I am looking for anyway.

Thanks. How odd. I typed in the title Secrets of the Dark into their own web page (into the box labeled "Search PC Games" on the upper right corner of the page) and it took me to a different listing in a different format and shows only three games in that series. Why would BF want to have "alternative" search engine capacity and results, especially when they vary in content?

I have found that Search PC Games thing fairly useless. It often does not call up the games I am looking for. I don't use it anymore.

I either use an external search engine or look at their pages listing "hidden object games," Collector's Editions, etc.

Using an external search engine, I have found games that take me right to their download page, and yet if you tried to find them on BF they aren't even listed.

I use the "PC Games Home" and then the "Adventure" selection and I don't have any problem that way.

Good to know, Mad! I hope you enjoy the rest of the game. smile

I have been playing some levels of Katy and Bob: Cake Cafe Collector's Edition (a time management game) as well as Nancy Drew: Danger on Deception Island (which I have played through at least three times before).
