Good morning, Danish, Donuts and Bagels in the Break Room. Yes, you need a degree in engineering to run the new appliances. Santa and the Grinch showed up at the Eagle's Christmas party. Shopping is on the agenda today. Enjoy the day and hug someone. hug santadance tree

Good Sunday morning.

Not good news about Mr. Gobbles the horse. Josh is the caretaker who lives down at the Ranch. When he went down to do the night feedings and checks at 9, the horse was down again and he couldn't get him up. He called the Ranch manager who didn't get back with him for a couple of hours. In the meantime, the horse had gotten cast against one of the stall walls. Being cast means he is up against a wall with his legs against the wall. In that position, they can't get any purchase to stand up. Usually you have to flip them over, which is NOT easy and usually involves ropes. I had a couple of cast horses I had to get up when I was doing the closing by myself for a year back in 2014. Finally Josh's wife and son came down to the barn and they got him flipped over. She told me he was just spent and they were going to wait and then try to get him up. That was at midnight and I have heard anything since then.

Happy Sunday all.

Hagatha, I look forward to hearing about the line dancing and group. I hope you will like it and find some more friends there.

Fogfighter, yay! It's sunny here today too.

Soot, what happened to the whale music?

Connie, Santa and the Grinch? Sounds like an interesting party.

Draclvr, I sure hope the news come back good when you get it. He's come so far...

I hope you each enjoy your day.

New day, new week, new coffee!

Mrs. Sun is shining again. But not for long. We are close to the shortest day of the year. Here at the northern hemisphere.

Keeping my fingers crossed for Mr. Gobbles.

Happy Monday GameBoomers!

Good Monday morning. I got super busy yesterday and forgot to come back to update on the horse.

After they got him flipped over and gave him some time to get enough strength back to get sternal, they left him with some food and water in a shallow pan. When they are able to get sternal, that means they are still laying down, but the front end is up on their chest and the head is up. That means he wasn't crushing his internal organs with his own weight. They left about 1 am and went to bed. Carole texted me the next morning saying he had gotten up on his own and was waiting for breakfast when the early shift came in. So, it's more wait and see!

Whew...yes, so happy to hear Mr Gobbles was able to get up on his own! Keeping Mr Gobbles in my prayers. Hello everyone, grabbed a cup of WADDB and bagel on the way to an appt this morning. OldBroad, I listen to my ambient (whale) music every day...my kids gave my ambient music the "whale music" nickname. Yes, yesterday was the winter solstice Fogfighter...any special events for the day?

Wishing you all a wonderful day wave

Good afternoon everyone.

Another rainy day. The vet tech was supposed to come and to trim Willow's nails today but I guess she forgot the appointment.

Glad to hear that Mr. Gobbles made it back up on his own. He's come so far. Poor thing.

It's really grim outside. Perfect weather for a Lord of the Rings Extended Edition marathon.

Good morning everyone!

Mrs. Sun is back on track. Maybe she was waiting for the solstice before deciding to show herself again.

Enjoying the WADDB over here.

Happy Tuesday GameBoomers!

Good morning everyone. It's going to be a warm week for us with temps in the mid to upper 70s. Groceries are on the docket today. But first, I'll enjoy some WADDB and have a few Bagels.

Have a wonderful day wave12

Good Tuesday morning. Sunny and MUCH too warm here. It's just not right for it to be warm enough to grill outside!

Grocery run today. Son, DIL and granddaughter are coming over Friday for Christmas dinner. I asked them, home made pizza or a rib roast... everyone voted for the roast. So I have to get a few things today - including the roast itself!

Good morning everyone.

We're having yet another awful day here, heavy rain and wind. I have everything I need, so I'll curl up with a fire and ignore the weather, call my mother in Hamilton and send a few Christmas greetings.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

After having had quite a few days with very pleasant weather, we are now expecting about six inches of rain between now and Friday (I believe you have sent some of your weather down here, hagatha). There is also supposed to be wind, and around here that poses the threat of a power outage. I don't ever remember this kind of weather on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, although there must have been something like this at some point in the distant past. Flood advisories too, but we should be okay where we are located.

Anyway, wishing everyone a pleasant Christmas! And if I should disappear, the above will be the reason.

What the heck? I typed and went to hit "post" and all of a sudden I wasn't signed in.

Mostly, I was saying that I hope Marian won't run into any bad experiences with the rain and/or snow. I was looking at the flooding there yesterday and wondered if you were in line for that, Marian. Looked at some Google maps since my geography is not that good.

Also, I hope you each have a good day!
