Good Saturday morning. The WADDB is really hitting the spot this morning. It's more seasonable this morning, so quite chilly.
It's time to start getting the spare bedroom ready for step-daughter and her SO who be arriving on Tuesday. He had cataract surgery, so they couldn't be here for Christmas. So, we have one more gathering next Saturday. I am SO ready for it to all be over so I can go back to my hermit mode for the rest of the winter!

Good morning everyone.
Coffee was most welcome this morning. It's pouring rain here and I am happily in my winter hermit mode already. It's so awful I'm cancelling my plan to drive into town this morning.
My most pressing decision today will be whether to watch something or play a game.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Morning everyone! Wide Awake Double Dark Brew is ready! Fogfighter thanks for the emergency coffee! Oldbroad I still have my landline on copper wire. Fiber optic cable has not come my way yet...my street is literally at the end of the line and Frontier does not want to pay to run it down my street. They will no longer maintain the copper cable unless their is a trouble reported...then they will fix it. I like having a "real" landline because the phone works when we lose power. Hope you all enjoy your Sunday! Gerry

Good morning everyone. We still have a landline -- and had to switch to fiber years ago...so when power is down so is the landline...but we do enjoy the faster upload/download speeds with the fiber. I remember those days when power was down but we still had a copper landline that worked. C'est la vie... Have a wonderful Sunday everyone

Good morning everyone.
There's a howling gale outside this morning. No doubt we'll have a power outage at some point today. Fortunately I have my portable generator all charged up and ready to go.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Same here, soot !! 😁 I certainly don't experience any of the weird noise/disturbance described by oldbroad

Good Sunday morning. Being well-prepared is a good feeling, hagatha.
I liked my land line, but could no longer manage the telemarketers and spammers no matter what I did. I finally gave up. They don't maintain the phone lines out here in the country and we had problems constantly too. The cell phones are leaps and bounds better. I might get two or three spam calls a week, but as long as I keep up with them blocking and deleting, they are totally manageable. With the landline, it was 15 - 20 a day and more. For power issues, I got a couple of power banks that I can charge up phones, laptops or whatever. We are seldom out more than a few hours, but I've used them a couple of times.
Oldbroad, you are not supposed to have noise and interference on your fiber optic phone line. It sounds like you need to call them and report this.
