Good Friday morning. Very cold and sunny - more of the same. Just barely above zero F here.

I picked up that knitting project I abandoned in the middle of a row about 20 years ago. It's a really easy pattern, so I just kept going. Hubby asked me what it is and I had to tell him I don't really know for sure, but I'm starting to think it's a throw type of afghan.

It is pouring rain this morning. Absolutely pouring. I have Pilates and then i need to decide what to take to the neighbourhood party tonight -- maybe some crab dip and some local artisanal chocolates.

I had another one of those IMS treatments on my shoulder yesterday and it does seemed to have reduced my pain level. The treatment is pretty painful, though.

It will be bitter cold again today...right now it is zero with a wind chill making it feel much colder. With all the snow on roofs and decks some of my neighbors are having issues from melting snow causing water to leak into the walls...frozen pipes too. So far I have had no issues.

Good morning everyone. It's bitter cold here with temps hovering below freezing and the wind gusting. And a memorable note for today's diary as we're having snow flurries this morning. The birds and squirrels are in a scramble at their feeders. A most excellent day to stay inside with a warm fire and enjoy wide awake double dark brew.

Good morning, Danish, Donuts and Bagels in the Break Room. Wind gusts of 35 to 40 miles an hour starting this afternoon. Temps tonight in the low 20's with wind chills in the low teens. Stay safe everyone. Enjoy the day and hug someone.

Good Saturday morning. Brrr.... just a few degrees above zero F last night. I just can't imagine how awful those temps below freezing with wind are for you folks in the South! I woke up once last night and was very grateful for my feline thermal unit!

We had to but another 50 lb bag of black oil sunflower seeds for the birds because everything is still buried under the snow. Our side yard is criss-crossed with deer tracks. A couple of nights ago I watched 7 of them right next to the house! They are easy to see with all the snow on the ground.

Our torrential rain has now prompted evacuations in BC, one of them between my home and Parksville. There's a small residential area right next to a river and it's completely flooded.

Connie, that sounds like very unusual weather for you. It's difficult to handle cold like that when you aren't used to it.

I went to a small neighbourhood party last night. I do live in a friendly place. Nice people.

The last time Orlando saw this kind of cold weather was in 1894 when the temps were 19 degrees F Connie. Now if it would only snow. Stay warm

I stepped outside to go for my 2 mile walk and did not get 10 feet out the door and did a u-turn. The temp at 5 am was 26 degrees with winds at 15 and gusts up to 50 mph. Wind chills 14 degrees so says Alexa. It reminded me of when I use to live on Lake Michigan. This is not right. BRRRR. It's time for a pot of chili

Good chilly morning everyone. Woke to 19 degrees and wind chill 9 degrees so passed on my walk this morning. Wonderful treats this morning thanks Gerry and Connie...wide awake double dark brew, hot cocoa and bagels! Sounds like the perfect day to stay indoors although I'll have a quick sortie outside to refill bird feeds.

Good morning everyone.

We're still in the midst of this atmospheric river of torrential rain, with rivers flooding and evacuation taking place. Fortunately it's not affecting my area, perched on a little peninsula, although the lack of storm drains means that some people have small lakes at the bottom of their driveways.

My friend and I are going for a walk this morning. Happily, I bought new walking shoes this year and they are allegedly waterproof, so I'll get to see if that's true.

On my way oldbroad, according to Google maps I should be there in 17 days, thats with no sleep. You might wanna put that chili in the freezer

It was bitter cold here this weekend with wind chills well below zero, but I managed to get in several miles of walking...I wore several layers, double socks, gloves inside my thermo lined mittens, a mask and a scarf over the mask, sunglasses, hat, and hooded coat and I did not get cold! The only issue I had was my sunglasses kept fogging because of my face being totally covered!

Hope we all get some warmer weather this week!
