Good to know about King Sorrow, hagatha. Thank you also for reminding me that I want to start reading Terry Pratchett.

I am currently reading You Like it Darker by Joe Hill's father. smile

I agree with you about Joe Hill... I need to look this book up.

This is my third reading of the Discworld series. The first couple of books aren't the greatest of the series but they do start the world-building. Some of the characters that run through the series are wonderful, especially a ratty little terrier that can talk.

And you really do need to read them in order as the various characters do have story arcs.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Apparently Dan Simmons died this past week. I just read about it this morning. May he rest in peace.

Hagatha, I will be sure to read the Discworld series in order, if and when I do.

Marian, I had not heard about that. He wrote some wonderful books, and the AMC production of "The Terror" was amazing, for anyone who hasn't seen it.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

I am enjoying the first of Jasper Fforde's zany Thursday Next yarns, but I am not sure that I would want to read a whole series, and I may even abandon this one unfinished with a view to resuming it later: very clever and amusing stuff, but perhaps an overdose for a full length book!

Life is what happens while you're making other plans.
