Oldbroad, I hope your brother is okay. That sounds like a really bad fall.

Draclvr, the farm market sold this wonderful Russian garlic -- massive cloves. I froze a few bulbs for the winter. You only ever need to peel one or perhaps two for any recipe.

Apparently that variety grows very well here so I'll get some in the fall and plant it.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Thanks guys. I had to clarify with him about not being able to get up. I guess it was more that he was concerned about getting up too fast because he suffers from dizziness at times, so he was waiting and taking it slow. He seems fine tonight.

That's kind of a relief - I was worried maybe he COULDN'T get up right away. Wise of him to just stay down for a few minutes.

That's what I originally thought too Drac but then I got to wondering, well, how did he get up. I hadn't thought to ask that question earlier.

Good Morning everyone! Wide Awake Double Dark Brew is ready. wave

Oldbroad I hope your brother is feeling okay after his fall. Yesterday it was cloudy and windy here...I froze walking! Right now the temp is only 19 degrees, but it will warm up into the 30s by late morning. I'll need to bundle up again to walk without the sunshine. smirk

I do wish spring would "spring"...tomorrow is supposed to be the first day of spring...I don't think it is going to feel like it! rolleyes

Enjoy your day everyone! spring

Good to hear Oldbroad's brother is ok.

Over here mrs Sun is shining finally. 10 happy Celsius outdoors.
Considerably more in the cup of WADDB. Better wait until it cools a bit.

Happy Thursday GameBoomers!

Good morning everyone.

Connie, that is so sad.

We're still in the midst of a rain storm, but it's warm; warm enough that Dude refused to come in until very late last night. The little jerk. Even shaking the bag of treats out the door didn't lure him in. I had a nice little cat house made for him so that he can stay in there if I'm not up to let him in. He's afraid of it. rolleyes

Line dancing this afternoon.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Connie, I'm sorry to hear that. You can never know what is in another persons mind. I've lost a couple of friends to suicide over the years.

I hope everybody can enjoy their day.

Good Friday morning. Warm and springy weather today.

Connie, that is just so sad to hear. Laurie is lucky to have all of you to support her.

My colonoscopy was squeaky clean yesterday. I won't ever need to have one again as one wouldn't be recommended for 5 years and I would be 83. At that point the risks outweigh the benefits. YAY! Finally an advantage to being old!

Good morning everyone; Welcome to the first day of spring even though it sure doesn't look like it out there. Our weather has been a roller coaster, a few days ago it was up to 58 F & today it's 33 with sleet. Have a good day everyone & stay safe out there.

Good morning, everyone.

It's an absolutely gorgeous Spring day today. I made it to Pilates and got through the class with not too much strain on my shoulder, so that's an improvement.

Draclvr, I was originally scheduled for a five-year-recheck on the scope, but then I received a letter from BC Cancer saying that I was in a low-risk group and am now in the ten-year recheck category. Hopefully that's true.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good morning everyone.

Oldbroad, I decided I'd do one class of each Pilates and Yoga per week. My shoulder and knee seem fine today. We'll see how I do. Between those two and my walking and the dancing I should be in pretty good shape and I suspect at my age I'll just have to accept that things won't be perfect.

Also, the thing about the Pilates is that I really like the women in the class, plus the instructor's four young cats are around for the Pilates classes but they've usually gone to sleep by the time Yoga starts. One of them is such a sweet boy I'm tempted to steal him.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Saturday morning. We are heading for another day near 90 degrees F today.

We got a beef quarter a couple of weeks ago and I'm thinking we'll thaw out a couple of steaks for the grill tonight.

I have my window to the hummingbird porch open and put my phone with the Merlin app open on the windowsill. My favorite songbird is singing up a storm - an Eastern Meadowlark.

Good morning everyone. Draclvr, squeaky clean reports are totall goodness! Our weather has been a roller coaster too Judith...but much prefer it to our summer temps! We might hit the low 80s today. That's wonderful news Hagatha, I hope you are too...is your pilates classes at the instructors facility/house? Enjoy your bible study group Connie. 7C is not terrible Fogfighter...especially with Mrs Sun shinning...beats all of those negative C temperature >"<

Soot, the Yoga and Pilates classes are held at the Instructor's house. We've seen all four kittens arrive, so we all know them very well.

it is n absolutely gorgeous day. I reached out to a new neighbour yesterday and suggested a walk, so hopefully we'll get out into the sun some time today.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.
