Draclvr, now Dell has stopped responding to me altogether.
I'm going to have to make another call, I guess. At this point I'll buy the battery from them and have someone local install it.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Today I am more thankful and grateful! My brother had scheduled the gas meter to be changed out but did not do anything with his stove. He was planning on turning it off with some switch on the pipe or something and saying that he doesn't use the stove. I have been worrying for a couple of weeks about this. Yesterday he admitted that he wasn't sure how the switch worked because it could go up or down and seemed hard to move so he didn't attempt it. When I had spoke to the gas company they told me that they do not do the capping of stoves but this guy that came out did! He checked everything, capped the stove off, changed the meter, and then checked everything again. Took about an hour but the job is done and hopefully done for another 20 years! He asked the guy about the stove connection and was told that if the hose was different (like the new one we had replaced on the clothes dryer) that it would be okay, so my brother MAY contact that appliance repair guy to have him uncap the stove and replace the hose. I don't know. He may just buy a countertop oven. He had looked at them but didn't get one. He mostly uses the oven only to make his frozen pizzas. He has used it in the past for burgers and sausages after I told him he could cook those in the oven, but he hasn't made those for a long time. He also used to use the burner to heat up cat food but has since started doing that a different way.
Speaking of the cat, unfortunately he went out yesterday and hasn't been back, even to eat, so we are a little worried about him right now. Fingers crossed he will show up.
Ah, speaking of the ungrateful wretch of a cat - he's back!

That's such good news that you got a sympathetic gas guy! I hope your brother just gets a nice countertop oven... some of them are really nice.
I suspect your kitty is not neutered, so this is the time of the year they are out "tom-catting." But glad the ungrateful wretch is back!

So pleased your “gas” worry has been sorted. And it sounds like a “countertop” oven would probably really suit your Brother’s cooking needs 👍
As for the cat …. Maybe it actually does know on which side its bread is buttered !! 🤭

Good morning everyone ... timing is everything >> WADDB and bagels. Shopping is on the agenda for today I think...and if not today then tomorrow is another day. Glad your cat is back OldBroad and the meter/stove are taken care of. Yes, kitchen counter space is usually premium. Have a fantastic Friday everyone

Good Friday morning. 93 degrees F yesterday and 43 degrees F today!
Need to get a hummingbird feeder put up today. They usually don't start arriving until around April 15, but I like to have it up in case there are any early travelers. My resident flock is usually a little later. I'm also going to start my tomato seeds this weekend. My peppers are all up and growing nicely. I will put them down in the basement under a grow light in another week or two.
