Hi, everyone!

My C: drive crashed on Thursday, so I had to buy a new computer. Thankfully, my user files were on D: drive, so I didn't lose them. I was going to buy a new computer anyway because I was still running Windows 10, but that disaster sped up the process. I decided to download "Haunted Hotel: Room 18" CE (which I picked up as "The Catch" and was an upgrade to the SE that I already owned) but, for some reason, the SE was being downloaded as well. I have no idea what happened, but the status of the CE was blank and the SE still showed as "Waiting to Install". I located "Program/App Uninstall" in Windows and the CE showed up, so I uninstalled it. When I returned to the Game Manager, the SE was at the top of the page greyed out and still showing "Waiting to Uninstall". I uninstalled and reinstalled the Game Manager, but nothing changed.

Does anyone know if "Haunted Hotel: Room 18" is compatible with Windows 11 and, if so, how do I get rid of "Waiting To Install"?

Yes, the game is compatible with Windows 11. Do you happen to know what version of the Game Manager you are running? That information is in the Game Manager. The reason I am asking is because people are having issues with the newest version of the GM, which is version 5. This might be the reason why you are having this problem, so I thought I would ask this question first. CS is working on fixing these issues but to my knowledge the fixed version has not been made available as yet.

My Game Manager is Version 5.0.3, which probably explains everything ! I'm glad to know that the problem is not the result of a compatibility issue with Windows 11. Is the old version of the Game Manager still available, because I downloaded the new one from an email I received from good old Felix in July? If not, I guess I'll have to wait until the bugs are ironed out since the "Waiting to Install" game is still at the top of the page. Until that happens, I'm hesitant to try and download any other games.

The status now is that as long as you download games from your Purchase History, version 5 will not automatically download; however, if you download anything directly from the website, version 5 will automatically install.

Those instructions were posted by Big Fish not too long ago. Having said that, I haven't tried anything of this nature myself, so no guarantees. It is also a good idea to use the Big Fish Removal Tool after uninstalling, before you proceed to a new installation. I honestly don't know whether this would fix your issues with Room 18. People have reported so many different odd problems, unfortunately. Instructions for the Removal Tool can be found on this page.
