This was a very rare event and I was lucky enough, not raining, to watch the moon eclipse Jupiter. The eclipse of Jupiter started 4:20 am EST 30 degrees above the eastern horizon. It reappeared on the dark side of the moon about an hour later. Check out this video to see what the occultation looked like

Mars was visible on the upper right side of the moon a little distance away from it. Mars will transit the Beehive Cluster(Messier 44) Oct 10 through the 12th. You will need optical aid to view, a telescope for that view

Here is the latest Starship update

Booster 22 and ship 42, flight 15, are receiving engines in Mega Bays 1 & 2 then to be tested at SpaceX's Massey's testing grounds in Texas. Flight 15's launch date tentatively set for Oct 19th

NSF Update - Prelaunch activities and flight of 14. Excellent coverage of booster 21's separation from the ship and splashdown in the Gulf. Deployment of 26 Starlink V3 satellites. Ship 41's first orbit and splashdown in the Gulf. Possible Booster 22, flight 15, tower catch. Cape Canaveral's Starship launch pad 39a ready for a Starlink mission. Booster 23 and Ship 43 are ready for testing in Texas then to be transported to Florida for its first launch in Nov. Florida production and assembly under construction

* Live Friday at 4pm EST - The Flame Trench - Ship 40 splashed down intact. The first ship to do so. It has been returned to Starbase after a long journey
