Good Saturday morning. More beautiful warmish weather ahead this weekend, but unfortunately heading to the mid 90's through the middle of next week.

Finishing getting the spare bedroom set up for my son and grandson who are flying in from Colorado for a few days. Their flight doesn't get in until 8:30, so it will be at least 10:30 before they get here. I'm making up some Philly cheesesteaks which can be quickly reheated if they want something to eat. Tomorrow I'm putting a brisket on the pellet grill and my older son and DIL are coming for supper. Then it's home made pizza on Monday and they leave on Tuesday. I'm excited!

Thank you all so much for the well wishes Boomers. It really makes me feel better. I seem to be feeling a little better every day and being home instead of at the hospital is everything. This really is the friendliest site on the entire web.

Very dark and windy this morning. The leaves on my giant maple tree are falling everywhere and it's time to put away the old pots full of annuals. We're finally out of stage 4 water restrictions because of the rain.

I do miss the Fall colour that we got in Ontario. Here the leaves just go brown.

Good Sunday morning. Another chilly start to the day, but I have WADDB to warm me up and get going. Hard to believe it's supposed to be heading for 93 degrees F today.

Son and grandson got here a little after 10 last night. Grandson is already awake, but he gets up at 4 am every day to get to work at the Denver airport by 5 am.

Already have the pellet grill going and put the brisket on about 8:45. Now heading out to the kitchen to make my applesauce spice cake.

Judith, is sounds like your winter is starting early this year. It's like you went straight from winter to summer and back to winter with nothing in between.

It was cold here this morning, too. I actually slept until 8 am, which is unusual for me but very welcome. I'm doing nothing today except maybe go to the farm market to return the milk bottles accumulating on my counter and rake some leaves off the grass. It is a lovely day.

Today is my last day of cat sitting for my neighbor...love her cat. She is a beautiful British short hair.
